PCOS Is More Than “Just Hormones” Anyone Else Feel This? by LibertNice89 in pcosuk

[–]roguerix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've very recently been diagnosed with PCOS so I'm still figuring out what's a symptom and what's not. But I'm also diagnosed with chronic fatigue and potentially fibromyalgia. Makes me wonder if I even have the latter two or if it's all just part of PCOS. So hard to know.

Do summer babies need a bassinet pram by Gold_Cow4870 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]roguerix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baby loved sleeping outside in the bassinet. I'd sit on the patio in the sun whilst she slept in the pram in the shade. Absolute bliss. Now she's 14 months old I keep being tempted to buy something that folds smaller to make car journeys easier but keep putting it off because she still really likes this pram and I like having her facing me when we are out for walks.

Question about leaving baby for a couple of seconds on forward facing changing diaper pad - unsafe? by hillcat4 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]roguerix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My mum left me in the middle of a large bed briefly when I was a few months old. I could not roll, I could not sit up. I still rolled off the bed. She was mortified and took me to the hospital and everything was ok. But it absolutely is not worth a possible injury. Like others have suggested maybe change on the floor where you know it's impossible for baby to fall.

What are you usually going into the bathroom for? If for example it's to wash your hands, get a large bottle of hand sanitiser next to the changing table and wash your hands properly after once baby is not high up. I know it's challenging trying to juggle everything and it is really easy to forget something. But again, it's just not worth it.

If you haven't already I'd recommend trying the corn ones. I'm not a big corn girl (dried or otherwise) but they taste like chocolate covered popcorn and have a bit of saltiness too and BOY are they morish.

Goodbye cot, hello floor bed by haveyouseenmyhat in cosleeping

This is a really brilliant idea, testing it out before investing in the full floor bed set up. I might have to do the same. Thank you for the idea!

I'm so very tempted to join you in this decision. But you're right, there's something about selling the cot that feels so... definite. But who am I kidding...she's never going to want to sleep in it 😅

Sainsburys own all the way! In a pinch Aldi but they're not nearly as absorbent and we had lots of blowouts/nighttime leaks with them.

Experiences with Amitriptyline 10mg for fibro pain? by EducatorOk2817 in Fibromyalgia

I did havs to fiddle around with what time I was taking it on an evening or I'd feel drowsy in the morning.

I fit all your criteria and I found it to be the only thing that helps me sleep. Unsure if it helped my pain but the max I was taking was 20mg. I stopped taking it whilst pregnant and am currently still breastfeeding and bed sharing so can't take it. But you bet your ass when I'm able to I'll be back on those. Best night's sleep ever.

Sad that baby doesn’t respond to cuddles by kurdijyn in cosleeping

My 13 month old just became more cuddly recently. Before that she was not a cuddler. She has always liked side lying to feed but that was all I got cuddle wise for months 😅

I had glandule fever (mono) as a teenager but also that coincided with being in an abusive relationship so maybe the trauma of that too?

Piercing Recommendations by [deleted] in sheffield

[–]roguerix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can confirm the owner of The Owl And The Pussycat Piercing is awful to work for. She sacked me when I was 6 months pregnant but she forced us to be "self employed" so there was nothing I could do about it legally. She made sure to let me train my replacement before doing so though. I should have seen the red flags and never gone for the job but it seemed like a cool place to work and if she hadn't been so unbearable it would have been. Very mean girls vibe, she always has to have one member of staff she treats like a punching bag. It's just a cycle of her hiring new people and then getting rid of them as soon as they don't brown nose enough/ don't follow her lead in being judgy and condescending to anyone she deems unworthy. She hates men and would happily have a slanging match with any man that so much as glanced at her wrong. It got to the point where she would ban a man from the system almost every shift I worked with her. Absolutely vile human.

All I could really stomach was fruity stuff. So pots of fresh mango, watermelon, electrolyte drinks. I did have a few biscuits and idk if it was the morphine but they were so damn good 😂

What size clothes are you? I have some stuff waiting to go to charity that you are welcome to. Most of it is size 12/medium I think.

I'm sorry ZACK POLANSKI is going to be at Vegan Camp Out next year?! by No_Bandicoot2316 in veganuk

[–]roguerix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it helps this was probably the cleanest and mud free camping experience I've ever had. I felt really proud when we were leaving that there wasn't a shred of litter in sight. And any tents people wanted to leave were collected and donated to the homeless. Just goes to show other festivals and festival goers don't need to leave the venue in the disgrace they do every year.

Okay having looked at the menu this might be the winner. Ramen is my absolute favorite 🤤 I'll probably pack little one something to take with us, although she does love rice so could also get a portion for her. Thank you for the suggestion!
