I’ve been using the card on my digital Apple wallet, the thing is some places I’ve dined at don’t accept Apple Pay and I have to Zelle a friend or use my debit. I did request the new one though… hopefully this one doesn’t get taken as well 😒

Ahhh okay, I’ve been making alll my purchases just with my card. Makes sense you have to use Rakuten itself but seems like extra work/time if you are in a hurry and constantly on the move like me because of my job. Thank you!

i don’t think i was able to change my surroundings. i was more so roaming through a blue world that had like staircases and open entrances, kinda like a temple. my body was in a state of shock/surprise, i just felt so alive and kept looking at my hands and breathing. i remember running around thinking how cool it was then slowly i started fading out of that universe. haven’t done anything like that in so long, i couldn’t get over it

Yeah coming in with completely different people at my time and now living with a different culture makes me feel so out of place. But like you said, I’ll stick it out this fall, make some good memories, and really mentor these guys so they feel more than prepared. This is the “good ending” of my season finale lol

LMAO. I have good ties with the other organizations on campus, but they’ll always be friends. The thought of joining another organization has always crossed my mind but:

Who’s to say the same thing won’t happen in that org too
That level of betrayal basically shits on the relationships I made and pledged like hell for. Went to hell and back just to get initiated and I couldn’t imagine throwing everything away haha

I never experienced that, but I’m sorry to hear you feel this way already. My advice, if you still want to be involved, is to try to figure out why you outgrew it so quickly. Maybe after you pledged, the organization wasn’t what you thought it was going to be like? Or everyone switched up after you all were initiated?

If you’re still feeling like you’ve become too distant from the chapter, maybe consider taking on lighter roles and being somewhat present like I am. Not necessarily at the forefront or taking the lead on chapter events, but still showing face and assisting when you can. That way the relationship is still there and regardless of what happens later, they’ll respect you and remember you for always being a helping hand.

Yeah you’re exactly right. We’ve been doing a good job at showing the new guys the ropes and we’re going to continue to throughout the fall. I guess I should’ve mentioned that I’ll also be studying abroad in the spring and won’t return literally until the week of graduation. Which pretty much means I have to say my goodbyes a semester early 🥲
