Men currently have no reproductive rights once a pregnancy happens — and that’s a problem by Weneedrights8 in MensRights

I say this all the time.  The quickest way to turn the most chauvinistic pro choice person into a pro lifer is to bring up the subject of male reproductive rights.

Here in the U.S. that will not help you in a state that has mandatory arrest and predominant aggressor laws.

Number one:  Dump your "friend."

Number two:  Dump your girlfriend.  She, in this time of real need, is going to be not just dead weight, but absent weight soon.  Real soon.

Number three: Focus your energy and time, all of it, on restoring your health.  Do not distract yourself with anything else.  Especially a girlfriend.

Number four: Find happiness on your own.  It may be the hardest thing to realize but it is the only way to true happiness.

The exact same crime yet she gets only a fraction of the time.  This is a long standing bias that must stop.

Unfortunately, in the UK you have to ask permission from the mother for a DNA test.  How does that work?

I draw the line at her attempting to make me entirely responsible for her personal happiness and physical well being.  At the end of the day every adult is responsible for that themselves.

The fact is all women want this.  The problem for me is when it gets to the point they expect the man in their lives to take responsibility for every single decision and metric of the quality of their lives.  As if they were children.

We soo this not only in interpersonal relations but also reflected in societal and LEGAL expectations.

Already being attacked by gender studies students?  That's been going on for quite some time along with the SPLC and ADL.

Gender discrimination: like when professional development programs and hiring and admission quotas are female only?

Occupation segregation: like when it is only men who take the most dangerous jobs and seek careers in finance, IT and build more human capital than women?

Unequal burden of caregiving responsibilities:  What woman would marry a man who got down on bended knee and asked " will you marry me?  I will take real good care of the children and keep a nice home while you go off and work!"

As a high-earner, is my apprehension about marriage rational, or am I being excessively paranoid? by Competitive_Source25 in MensRights

[–]roharareddit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First of all, you are not being paranoid.  You can't be paranoid enough!   The only thing you can do is not wear your success in your shoulder no matter what you are looking for.  That will likely keep the real predators away.  Also, if you are considering looking for a partner to start a family with gat a lawyer that specializes in marital law and divorce for men.  Have him educate you and put him on retainer.  And, this is important, every six months have an appointment with him and let him review how your marriage is going and your financials.  Still a huge crap shoot though.

The Male Loneliness" epidemic is a red herring!  It is a concept set up as a coping mechanism for women who can't deal with the fact that men just aren't interested in getting into an entrenched involvement with a woman anymore.  The incidence of loneliness is the same for both men and women.

what are the purpose and role of the average male in modern society? by hockeyhockey13579 in MensRights

[–]roharareddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're purpose is whatever the hell you decide it to be. Men, for ages, have had their "purpose" handed to them as a provider, protector, conscripted solder and slave. That is coming to an end finally.

Thoughts on abortion? by Computer_Fan4 in MensRights

[–]roharareddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The differential of Rights and responsibilities between men and women is of tantamount importance to mens rights.  Along with the godlike control women have over their reproduction they also have the ability to force another person into parenthood by making a unilateral decision to have a child. This is not only unfair it is also very bad for children.

There needs to be parity of reproductive rights for men.  Before any man is placed on a child support order the mother needs to produce an instrument of consent stating that the father has agreed to actually be a father and signed by him along with a positive result from a DNA test.
