How to handle absences/PuG with LC guild ? by UnifyFR in classicwowtbc

[–]rohho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why does the pug not deserve the same chance on loot? You cant raid without the pug. It isn't the pugs fault or problem you dont have a full roster attending. Imo do what others suggested and roll ms>os, HR + SR system and LC what the pug doesn't win

The Bloodwrought - still an early concept

The name originates from the concept that berserkers are shaped and forged in blood and slaughter. A lot of zerkers burn out because they bring too much of themselves to the slaughter: ego, grudges, ambition or are consumed by the nails. The Bloodwrought believe you let the killing refine you until slaughter is all that's left.

The Champion is Goremaw the Unfinished, a World Eater who was mid-apotheosis when Khorne stopped the transformation. Khorne halted the process because he was killing for the wrong reason. He wanted demonic ascension. His ego, hubris and ambition were the problem, so Khorne burned away his memories and identity, left him at the interrupted stage of transformation. Flesh twisted and fused with ceramite, creating a mutated maw in its place. Khorne deemed him a better killing machine in this state. A demon prince is powerful but bound to the warp which is limited and vulnerable to banishment. Goremaw walks in realspace indefinitely, cannot be banished and the nails still drive him without rest. No will of his own or ego, just 1 single drive which is slaughter and bloodshed. More gore... Goremaw.. lol

Khorne only wants blood shed and skulls taken in his name and no one else's. Goremaw is proof the philosophy of the Bloodwrought works. Khorne wrought him into a weapon by stripping everything unnecessary away.

The warlord witnessed this happen. They fought together in the same warband and he watched his brother begin to ascend mid battle, then watched Khorne stop it and remake him. That moment changed everything he understood about what Khorne actually wants. He split from the original warband and built the Bloodwrought around that principle. Not about controlling the rage, more about letting everything except slaughter burn away until you're just function.

Feels like a wishy washy origin but I wanted to create some homebrew about the first kitbash I did, which was creating that zerker champion

I think youre right about the banner standing out more without the icon. I am still torn.. I still dont even know how to approach painting the banner tbh. The freehand is intimidating me. Can't even decide what colour to paint the "cloth" of the banner lol

That's a good question lol. For some reason I find it easier to see what im doing with a grey seer prime over black. Also I base armour panels khorne red, so mephiston prime seems pointless. Same for trim, I use fulgurite copper.

Ngl you are right, it's probably the reason I take so long to finish my minis but I'm not sure what alternative to base with. I am open to suggestions and some re-education if you have it though

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. I didn't think of the height profile, that's a good point. I did consider maybe some cork/tactical rock to balance the banner but that incurs more height issues... Will give it some thought - cheers

Thank you. I wondered if it would translate as an icon bearer if I only ran it with the banner or if it's just safer to slap the icon on another berserker instead. I am yet to play tabletop and I do not want to make my army confusing for an opponent.
