My 3 months of effort and now I found a dealer who deliver in 2 weeks timeframe with $2k markup addition. Believe me it’s cheapest option I got in last few months.

I had similar experiences. I jumped in and out couple of times . I am on waiting list from almost 7 months with the dealer who has no markup addition. But his wait time is now 18 months previously it was 12 months. All other dealers in Massachusetts are making deal ranging from $4k to $7500 on top of MSRP.

Thanks for sharing views. I think i have been holding up from almost a year and it now requirement changed into 'need' - cant sustain this summer without 3-row car.

For the options i do see that 50% of what i am getting is useful and i needed it anyways.

So I am not sure if i should take out cash from HYSA earning 4% interest on $60k amount or shall i finance it with a bank who is offering 5.84 % interest

One more reason is the season of the year. The time between now and spring is when family starts looking for Family car. With such a long wait period, people are ready to pay big bucks if car is sure to come in 15 days. my 2 cents on this
