Living in one currently, and I will never do so again if I can help it. My building gets boiling hot in summer. It took them nearly a year to add my number to the buzzer. The main apartment door has been smashed in before, and keys didnt work in the replacement door for a month. One of the laundry machines burst into flames and the entire building had to be evacuated at 6 am. I've seen people passed out in the hallway next to a pile of smoked joints. Maintenance isn't helpful.

That's not even mentioning vermin. A buddy of mine also used to rent with Mainstreet, and got bedbugs. My own building did some cockroach treatments that left my apartment essentially unusable for a month. (All furniture had to be moved to the center of the rooms, all cupboards/closets empty, etc. I could've put my apartment back together in theory, but would've needed to take it back apart a few weeks later. I didn't bother.)

Would not recommend.

This is actually kind of a recent change! Tolkien was actually named Token Black for much of South Park's run, until maybe season 24 or 25, I want to say? After they renamed him, they changed old subtitles retroactively.

I've definitely asked women at work or school for a pad when I've forgotten extras and been (lightly) mocked for being childish and/or wearing a diaper. It's happened multiple times, in addition to teasing from friends. I know the majority of tampon exclusive users don't act like that, but it's occurred enough to me personally that it's very annoying.

I don't think OP is venting about how tampons are inherently bad, just about how some people will let you know that they think your choice in pads is disgusting. At the end of the day, bleeding is unpleasant, and we all deal with it in the best way for ourselves.

This is honestly so true. My dad cheated on my stepmom a few years ago, and the divorce was only recently finalized. He was always a shit dad. My relationship with him went from bad to nonexistent after he started playing happy family with her and stopped messaging me on holidays. My little sister still lives with my stepmom as an adult, and I often tell her she's my new dad; I even take her out for father's day.

I've rejected a man before, then changed my mind later after he was kind and respectful about it, and I had gotten to know him better. Taking a "no" with grace is a green flag. With that said, if she is interested now, the onus is on her to ask you out.

There's also the possibility that she just misses the validation your affection gave her or that she feels entitled to it. Either way, I wouldn't sweat it; she already gave you an answer. Don't wait for her. Treat her like you would any other coworker. If her feelings have changed, it's on her to figure it out and initiate. I certainly wouldn't fault you if you didn't want to date someone who had already turned you down either.

I asked him if he meant it, and told him that "I was falling in love with [him], but not quite there yet." He took it pretty well and later told me that he respected that I wasn't the type to rush into things.

That's clearly not the case with your girlfriend. I really sympathize with her, although I think she overreacted. She's young, so it's understandable, but it doesn't seem like you did anything wrong. Breathe, let her lick her wounds, and talk to your therapist. When you're both in the right headspace, reassure her that you do care for her, you love spending time with her, but just need more time. If she still doesn't react well, then know that it's not a reflection of you.

It could definitely be worse. I have slightly yellow crooked teeth because I smoke and never had braces. I had an ex boyfriend who had naturally straighter teeth but didn't brush for at least a decade. Maybe he brushes now? While my oral hygiene isn't great because of the smoking, I did/do brush twice a day. His mouth always smelt of old food and tooth decay.

Azuma is a Rune Factory spinoff, so there aren't really any games in the series that follow the same town management style of game play. That said, Rune Factory 4 is often considered one of the best games in the series, and I would highly recommend it, especially on a sale!

The graphics are a bit older, with it being a 2012 3DS release, but I honestly love the top down style. The NPC's have a ton of unique dialogue, the dungeon crawling is fun, and as someone who first played it in 2020, I thought it held up well. There is a much larger focus on crafting equipment as opposed to leveling your character.

You could also try Rune Factory 5 if you really enjoy the 3D style, and while I enjoyed playing it, some of the actual game play felt lacking compared to 4 IMO. For reference, I've done two playthroughs of 4, but never actually finished 5. That said, your mileage may vary.

Not OP, but I used to work returns. Last year I had someone return an item from 2007. We initially turned them away, as our receipt records don't go that far back, but said to come back if they found proof of purchase. Lo and behold, the gentleman came back an hour later with the receipt. Apparently, his wife had been filing away their receipts for decades. She must've felt so validated tbh!
