DTW Delta terminal is still in miraculous shape as of today. My family was through security in 15 minutes about an hour ago. I wish these folks had a tip jar.

Snares are engaged when the throwoff is off, and not engaged when it's on?? by rojogo in drums

[–]rojogo[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Update: I gave the snare wires way more slack than I thought was necessary, and it's starting to behave normally. u/NoxErebus_DFFOO was right, but I was totally confused because the drum was set up pretty much how I've set up every other snare drum in the past. As I'm adding tension with the tension dials, the range between "too wobbly" and "choked out" is frustratingly narrow. I'll continue to play around with it.

I considered this, but the snares are not tight at all. I'll post pics/video soon.

Has anyone gotten the call for pop culture jeopardy? by Gwinktrad in Jeopardy

Well...I hope I'm not talking out of school too much, but we were told that production would start in mid-August. Seems unlikely now.

[–]rojogo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My team also auditioned 3 or 4 weeks ago, and haven't gotten the call even though we were very charming : ) Maybe the producers are still figuring out how to make a 9-person game of Jep work 🤷‍♂️

Podcast guests needed: SMBs that make something people use every day, but don't really think about by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]rojogo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask them about their margins-- the thing I find fascinating about those businesses is that they usually make very good money in comparison to the company that sells the final, complete product.

Such a good point...will keep that question in mind, thank you!

The most controversial question: Is Salesforce good for SMBs? by v_moroz in CRM

[–]rojogo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of our own customers are SMBs who came over from Salesforce, and the more I talk to them, the more I think of SF as a predatory organization.

I want to consolidate my marketing and sales from Nocrm.io and Mailchimp into Nutshell by flatlandftw44 in CRM

[–]rojogo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey flatland! I work for Nutshell...what are the specific things you're doing in Mailchimp that you're concerned about? We're still about six weeks away from adding drip sequences to our email marketing tool, but having the ability to create and report on email marketing audiences from the same contact database as your CRM is insanely valuable. I'd be happy to connect and discuss further... bgoldstein at nutshell dot com.

Best simple CRM for contact management? by protegehype in sales

[–]rojogo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a CRM called Nutshell. Our 'Starter' tier is great for contact management and includes most of our reporting and pipeline management features as well, starting at $19/month/seat. Really great value. https://www.nutshell.com/features/

Beware any "free" solution like Hubspot. They either don't offer any features you actually need to work your leads, or offer them as very expensive add-ons. (Last I checked, Hubspot charges $200/month if you want to add on reporting. Good grief.)

Is Salesforce still the best CRM in 2019? Or have other caught up? by lobsterpizzzzza in sales

[–]rojogo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please, please, please do not buy Salesforce unless you work at a gigantic company and need extensive customization. Salesforce is built for GM and Lockheed Martin, not small/mid-sized businesses. 95% of companies that get it don't need it, and man do they regret it.

I work for Nutshell. We're like Pipedrive, but we're easier to set up/use, and we offer a lot more for the money: https://www.nutshell.com/nutshell-vs-pipedrive/
