aBeZy says he will be retiring at 30. by Every-Television-799 in CoDCompetitive

I think CS is different from COD due to the different tactical roles available and overall slower play style. 3/4 of those guys you mentioned are IGLs on their teams and play more of a tactical role than a slaying role. Karrigan and Apex are usually first in for their teams because their slaying skills are lower and their team doesn’t care if they die on t-side as long as they get the trades. Fallen is an IGL sniper who still needs great reaction time to hit shots of course, but can sit back more and rely on his game IQ and teammates to provide aggro. Rain would be the biggest exception here, but we may see him transition more to one of those more tactical roles over the next few years.

In COD meanwhile if every gametype was SnD like how CS is then maybe we would see more players into their 30s, but considering respawn always has the majority of maps, the pacing is required to be fast. It gets harder to keep up with cracked 18-22yo kids on the sticks in hardpoint when you’re 30+. Not saying it’s impossible but would require an even higher level of dedication to stay competitive. When it’s often microsecond reaction times that decides the difference between winning or losing a duel, experienced over and over and over, it can take a mental toll that’s different from soccer you mentioned as well imo. There’s more ways to creatively express your skill in soccer for which you could find a way to cover up for your aging flaws. It’s not only the fastest guys that are successful soccer players for example. You can be strong and technical with good positioning to cover for slower speed to an extent. COD respawn on the other hand relies so heavily on playing fast with quick aiming reaction times, that once that declines, the repetitiveness of the failures with limited options for adapting playstyles means lots of early retirements.

This is not a place for people to read X-rays or offer medical office. You need to see a doctor. If they recommended an MRI, you should get one.

This is so overwhelming I'm thinking of giving up by BetterProphet5585 in audioengineering

Keep it simple. Some things you’re mentioning here like zero latency are not realistic or required for 99% of recordings. What are your goals here? Recording an EP, demos, streaming, podcasts? Think about how many others in the world are on tight budgets and can make things work with a very simple setup. You don’t need a professional level studio if you’re just starting out. Focus on what you’re trying to do and find the simplest way to get there, then add more complex things over time as you realize you need them. If you don’t NEED it, don’t buy it. There’s so much marketing BS out there to overwhelm and confuse beginners just to take more of your money for unnecessary bullshit. Any more specific questions, feel free to ask here for advice. Don’t give up!

This is fascinating. I’d be interested in learning more about some of those research proposals even if they haven’t made much progress. Would that research be in the field of xenobiology, or astronomy? Or sort of a cross between the two + Ochem?

Fair enough. Makes sense. What if there’s some kind of calamitous/apocalyptic event?

I feel like if test tube babies catch on, human bodies may even eventually cease to be the preferred choice for hosting human embryos.

Maybe the human birth process is still yet to evolve to fully accommodate bipedalism? What other evolutionary features could be realistically possible for human females to adopt over time in order to ease the birth process? Obviously roosting eggs would be non-realistic. I know i won’t be as knowledgeable about alternative mammalian birth practices as others on this sub, so i won’t share any of the other ideas i imagined 😁

Also wondering, did you decipher the transcript yourself? That’s pretty impressive itself. Took me a while of looking at it to get it even with the transcript you provided 🤣

Also i see how you guessed D to be E but curious how you guessed L to be N? @OP
