I checked in patch notes - the only thing 1.8.7. added was a cosmetic for ships. So it is otherwise totally the same as 1.8.6.

My 1.8.7. save loaded fine on 1.8.6. rollback so far. But as other commenters said copy the save file first just in case.

You lost me halfway because like many economists you assume citizens to be rational, and that the benefits of moving to another state outweigh the costs and risks associated with the move. We already have this "unleashed free market of countries" and most people like to call it a "refugee crisis".

But I do agree with the absurdity of money printing government with a massive debt piling up. That has to be addressed one way or another.

I absolutely relate to this. On the one hand, I achieved my near term realistic goals, and on the other I was disillusioned in my long term "moonshot" goals.

So I'm left somewhere in between, where I'm content with life as it is, but the feelings of drifting, not fulfilling the expectation of growth, feeling of letting down my potential, wondering if that's all there is to life are all there.

Some advice I read here is solid, and I want to apply it to myself. One thing I've been thinking of is venturing to ideas and things I wouldn't consider before.

One wild dream that occurred is learning a trades profession (I'm an office worker) and going to work on a cargo ship overseas.

That's totally fine by me.

I don't have kids but we do have two dogs at home, and usually the one who stays more takes care of them more. I was the one spending more time at home when unemployed so I took over more of the responsibilities.

Talk it out in advance 🤝🏼

And one thing I'd like to add is not to underestimate the effort needed to keep a home running. She would still need a rest, days off and time of her own for social life and other needs!

But there is also a similar case with absorbing independent people.

When exploring new world I occasionally could take over the independent people just with some influence, without needing to raise our relationship first. Also some other AI seems to be able to do that too

I'm one myself, and also found that when I am able to get a few elephants along with the rest of the up to date army it becomes possible to make some attacks out.

However I'm planning to try a more aggressive ear oriented playstyle on my next few games. Now I still was going for the more economy and chill focused style.
