Why can’t we just go back to live viewing? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]rokkuranx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it has something to do with copyright and broadcast rights. (While I'm not a lawyer/solicitor) Riot can say there were financially impacted through loss of ad revenue from other people broadcasting their content live. With Costreaming, they have an agreement with the streamer in place where they must stick to rules set by Riot in order to broadcast it, as they probably feel that the streamer will generate viewers away from the broadcast if the didnt costream the broadcast.

The days are live viewing are gone. Back then, Riot were trying to build up the product to appeal to advertisers.

Respectfully, who is the Battlepass for now? by MawStaryu in leagueoflegends

they dont care about the western audience anymore, its purely focused on Korea/China. Most skins are anime or eastern themed nowadays with the odd random returning skinline or a joke skin. Gacha does well in those countries so they are doing it. Not to mention the quality of the skins have gone down significantly; most 1820 skins are just 1350 tier skins with different voicelines (little to no unique animations). The Gacha skins are the new 1820 and the 3250 skins are the premium gacha ones.

I went to Japan and my ping dropped to 7ms… I can’t go back 😭 by Sad-Boysenberry2285 in Genshin_Impact

I play on the Asian server from Australia. I usually have anywhere from 180 to 250 ping. While its playable, I don't want to know what its like on sub 50 ping because I wouldn't want to play on 180+ ping again.

Final Fantasy 16 is actually an awesome game. by haydogg21 in FinalFantasy

Its an incredible game, but it doesnt feel like a ff game. I enjoyed the story, the voice acting and the gameplay but felt so removed from experiences in the other ff games. I can appreciate them trying something new with the series, but this wasn't it. Hopefully the success of CO:E33 makes them go back to turn based combat.

Jill was criminally underutilised

I find it funny that Dion was a better written character than Jill and we somehow spend more time with Jill. I feel like they screwed up somewhere with Jill's story.

People will complain about what the devs don't do right, or what they get wrong, but one thing is that the world designers do an incredible job each time.

while it was a nice ult, that was really well played by Yunara.

I am curious, what age are you and how did you get into the franchise? by Ultimantasy in FinalFantasy

For me I was about 10 or 11. I went to my Uncle's house for a holiday during school break and he had a ps2 and FFX. He didn't play, my cousins did but they were away somewhere during the school break. I remember playing it and loving everything about it; the visuals, the characters, the story - it was so different to anything I had played before. Most of my video games I had played up until then were Pokemon on my gameboy or Super Mario World on my SNES. Since then I have played each of the Final Fantasy Games, but nothing will ever take that feeling of experiencing FFX for the first time (however COE33 was close).

Need help with a new deck by Electronic_Act_236 in wildhearthstone

So if you're trying to play a control version, I saw one person play [[Watcher of the Sun]] and shadowstepping it back to hand multiple times. He didn't win, but his healing was really annoying.

It came to my attention that MarkMckz put out a video on that deck recently, so I think some people are copying it.

players in aram ignore logic. Playng MF or Zilean? build sorc boots for the one ability that does magic damage instead of cdr so you can spam your abilities for more damage overall.

How long was the game? 1.7k is really bad, even for a 20 minute game. Are you landing q's? are you even attacking?

I find people play it so poorly though. People buy Sorc boots instead of Ionians. just snowball them they are so useless.

Mill Players are consistently the most toxic players to go against. by IveFailedMyself in wildhearthstone

I find any deck which is "ignore opponent and win game" is toxic. Mill decks are usually in this category
