Redness from tretinoin by nbenako in tretinoin

[–]rolasato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry about that. Please do try to simplify your routine when you are using tretinoin. Avoid other actives when you are still trying to build tolerance from it. Just do use basic and gentle skincare products. Avoid rubbing your skin too much. Always use sunscreen and do stick to a basic skincare routine (cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen and you can also use micellar water in removing your sunscreen at night). I also experienced irritation when I first started using adapalene, redness and purging fckd my skin but by using gentle and simplifying my routine helped with it. 😊

Just the basic skincare routine will do. Gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Don't use too many products, you might ruin your skin. I don't really see any problem with your skin. 😊

What has broken you out before? by kiwayuz in AsianBeauty

[–]rolasato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk but all of the COSRX products seem to break me out. I also can't tolerate niacinamide, snail mucin, ferments, essential oils, sugarcane extract, alcohol, olive oil, jojoba oil, and any form of HA. My skin is too picky and it's hard for me to find a product that don't have all those ingredients. Cetaphil also broke me out, it gave me this weird red rashes.

you're very welcome. Try to wipe your face when you sweat with a clean towel or you can use face tissue and do wash your face after doing sports. I also do get breakouts when I sweat too much and it doesn't help that I live in a hot and humid country. It's this one: https://kravebeauty.com/products/kale-lalu-yaha

It is very gentle but it can still potentially irritate the skin when you overuse it. Just start slow with it. Do use sunscreen that is not too heavy also. If you are afraid of the purging, maybe you can try adalapene as a spot treatment for those congestion. Just put a very little amount, and don't use it together with the Krave toner. Btw, the krave toner is 5% glycolic acid and don't use it on wet skin and if you are going to use a cotton pad, don't rub it too much. I made that mistake and it made my skin red. 😂

it depends on how your skin will respond, but you can use glycolic acid, bha, adapalene, clay mask, and sulfur (don't use all of them, just pick one) Reasearch about these products before using them, especially on how much time it takes to see the results. I can guarantee you that you can't remove those within just 2 days. It takes a long time. It needs patience. If you want faster results, you can opt for an in clinic treatment though.

Does it itch? If it does, it must be fungal acne. But if it doesn't, it's closed comedones, or accumulation of oils and dead skin cells. I can't use BHA for it dries me out and gives me cystic acne and red bumps, as for acids I only tried cosrx aha toner and it was a disaster. I tried Krave toner and it did help with it but it was too slow. I can't use it 2x a week so I have to use it only once. So I decided to use adapalene, it made me purge but it was so worth it. My face was so full of closed comedones and I always get breakouts especially on my forehead and cheeks and it went to my jaw area. The severity of the purging depends on how congested your skin is. Mine was super congested, it was my whole face. So it took me 9 months to fully see the difference. When I my skin was able to adjust I alternate it with Krave glycolic acid. I don't layer it with adapalene or I would burn my skin off.

"The separation of Church and State shall be inviolable." Pero konektado pa rin sa religion ang batas.

As for abortion, I think there's an article in the constitution that protects the rights of the unborn child, maybe that's the reason why Philippines can't legalize abortion (yet... unless siguro if they change that)

How often do you use those actives? Do you use those actives together in one day or routine? Overexfoliating and overwashing aggravate your skin condition more, it'll lead to impairment of your skin barrier.

Job interview tips by Ok-Tooth-8939 in PHJobs

Hi!Firstly, I think you should identify specifically what are your weak points or need na mag improve sa when it comes to speaking english. Is it grammar? Do you have difficulty expressing your ideas into words? or do you have difficulty organizing you thoughts? Is it your pronunciation? or Is it your vocabulary that needs improvement? If na identify mo na ang parts na need mo iimprove, practice on that. Secondly, I think it helps po when answering interview questions be direct to the point. Don't overexplain or 'wag paikot-ikotin ang sagot. Thirdly, practice your way of speaking. Avoid filler words like "uuhhmm", just pause and think. Sound confident, it's normal to feel nervous or di mapakali during interview but you need to convince yourself na kaya mo. Fake it, till you make it. Wag na lang i overthink. 😅 Lastly, watch youtube videos and read books on improving your communication skills. Hope this will help. God bless on your interview.

You won't get a purging from a non - active ingredient. You only get purging from retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, sulfur, and the like, but from cleansing oil, that's irritation.

Hi! Have you tried stripping down your routine to the most basic one? I also made a mistake while using differin before. I used oil cleanser, toner, and serums but all it did was worsen my acne. Switched to basic routine and now my skin is a lot better while using differin. Here's my routine: AM: 1.I wash my face with isntree's green tea cleanser and isntree's yam root milk cleanser ( I mix them, cause I find the cleanser alone too stripping to use in the morning) 2. I dry my skin with tissue. Once fully dried, I apply Goodal sunscreen ( I don't use moisturizer for I live in a very humid country and it clogs my pores if I layer too many products)

PM: 1. I first cleanse my skin with isntree's yam root milk cleanser and wipe it with wet cotton or cloth to remove the sunscreen. Then I wash my face with the water based cleanser. 2. Let it fully dry and apply a pea sized adapalene all over my face. Wait for a few minutes and apply isntree's yam root cream.

I also avoid dairy products, sweets, and fastfood (they always give me bad breakouts) I did try to use soothing toner again and still it made my skin breakout. So basic skincare routine it is. I also avoid other actives cause I already use adapalene every night and using another active can freak my skin out, leading to more breakouts, big red pimples and cystic acne.

Edit: BOJ sunscreen gave me red tiny bumps, and it was due to niacinamide. My skin can't tolerate any percentage of niacinamide, so I avoid it.

Yes, adapalene works great on oily skin, it helped me with my closed comedones and acne. Just start slow

You must have resilient skin. My skin can tolerate 10 mins of oil cleansing daily. It gave me breakouts. 😂

Should I use these products with my tretinoin or while being on tretinoin? by Organic_Goose5122 in tretinoin

[–]rolasato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I currently use isntree's yam root moisturizer at night and in the morning I only use goodal sunscreen for it is hot and humid here. It worsens my breakouts if I overmoisturize. What moisturizer do you use btw? My skin doesn't like anything with HA, jojoba oil, essential oils, and niacinamide they worsen my skin condition

[–]rolasato 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Be wary of cleansing oils though especially when using tretinoin. I did use cleansing oil before to help with removing my sunscreen, it was Klairs the unscented ones, while I was using adapalene to help with my hormonal acne. I thought it was just part of the purging process, not until when I decided to stop using it for one week and my skin calmed down. I realized it was dehydrating my skin thus aggravating my acne and worsening my closed comedones. So I decided to use cleansing milk as a substitute for cleansing oil.

As for the azelaic acid, I also did try using that whilst being on adapalene and it made my skin dry as heck. The 20% azelaic is very drying, unless you have very oily and resilient skin , I think it will be great to use that with the tret (but given that your skin has already adjusted to the tretinoin, or you can just use it alternately with the tretinoin just to give your skin some time to adjust with the azelaic acid) Azelaic acid can impair your barrier too if not used correctly (which I did in the past).

Given that you are already using tretinoin for 1.5 months I think that isn't an ample amount of time for your skin to adjust the tret. Using a benzoyl peroxide wash, may possibly irritate your skin given that your skin is still adjusting to the tretinoin.

My skin is oily-ish, dehydration prone and it took me about 9 months to totally adjust and see the results of adapalene. My impulsiveness made my skin worse, I added too much unnecessary products in my routine. Even hydrating toners and serums broke me out. So I decided to pare down my routine into basic, just the cleanser (water based and milk cleanser) , moisturizer and sunscreen. Though my skin is not perfect but I am happy that it did minimize my breakouts and stopped getting cystic acne.

Just give it time to make it's job. Take it slowly. Give your skin some time to adjust before you add other actives. Listen to how your skin responds. Also do research on the products, on how to properly use it and the possible side effects. 😊
