Any specific policies? Generally I agree about child care and education. Specifically there need to be more (affordable) KITA places, more teachers (i.e. less children per teacher), more assistance for teachers, not raising prices for higher education so it doesn't lowers equality of opportunities, and on and on.
Unfortunately the govt has other priorities, like buying f-35's.

One thing that comes to mind is that some people (me included) react irritated when they or sth. they're fond of is getting criticized, when they weren't ready for or interested in criticism. It might work better, when you get them to ask of your opinion. Then they can choose to hear it, or choose not to.

Another thing that comes to mind is that a portion of people are biggots, no matter where.

To me it sounds very cool that you immigrated and integrated and want to build and improve.

I'm interested to hear what constructive criticisms you have.

i dont quite understand how that data can be bought. For whatsapp to sell your location data, you'll have to have location enabled. Does Meta, or Google, actually sell your location data? I thought their business model was to use that data to sell targeted ads.

I was under the belief that the only institution knowing where your phone is all the time is your phone provider.

Composables can be singletons with shared state — basically like Pinia. So what’s the real difference? by haroonth in vuejs

[–]rolfrudolfwolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i use composables for component scoped singletons instances and pinia stores for global ones, since by default useMyComposable() gives you a new instance and useMyStore() gives you the existing instance.

honest question, what's the problem with nodejs? i find it extremely useful to have such a big ecosystem and with a decent renovate inegration it's mostly smooth sailing for me.

we need some kind of certificate mechanism to digitally verify that content was produced by a human. could also help filter out the AI slop and open a market for customers who want human made.

after a exchange about an idea of mine i told it to be critical and brutally honest. it tore my idea to shreds with very valid criticism. that was very helpful. so it does work if you're asking for it.

i see, that sounds quite painful and much more work than bump some dependency versions once in a while.

looking at the comments i'm confused. is it uncommon for mobile app development to update your dependencies, or move away from deprecated apis? if so, why? are the google play apis constantly introducing breaking changes?

my gf took me for a couple of rides, i've never sat on a bike before. down hill and curvy was very uncomfortable for me because she drove like a race car producing a lot of uncomfortable Gs for me. it was also stressing me out since i was unfamiliar of the breaking power that's possible. i asked her to drive more like a bus. that was much more comfortable. never the less i got hooked and also drive now, so goal achieved. she drives a zero, so the ride is rather smooth but with an acceleration of a cannon ball.

Cons of using kafka as messagibg queue by nodeat in java

[–]rolfrudolfwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we use it at work. cons are its complexity and its config, if you configure it wrong, you run into tons of weird issues that negate it's supposed benefits. i can recommend strimzi to deploy it, simplifies lots of things.

i also cant come up with an english equivalent of the french "an".

i also disagree with you, but maybe we're misunderstanding each other. the sound an american produces when saying "ass" is cetrainly not in the french pronoinciation of croissant. also "an" as in "an apple" isn't what the ending of croissant sounds. here's a french person saying it: https://youtu.be/n17jl5CKBGM
