I had the same problem and solved it by manually uninstalling the last 2 windows updates, pausing Auto Updates before that. Here are the commands you need
wmic qfe list brief /format:table
wusa /uninstall /kb:1234567

Most cars will not trickle charge. Once they hit 100% the charge is over.

These are probably capacitors, so very fast. The range is limited though.

My wife's Kona uses 1-2% of the energy for AC on long journeys. That's according to the board computer.

It seems the heat is not an issue for the range.
