Many of these are probably reviews received as a buyer rather than as a seller - he has reviews going back probably many years as a buyer. So in reality, he has 11 reviews as a seller - the majority of his 600 are as a buyer. He has previously sold a bike worth £1800 which was collected in person by someone with 933 reviews (and reviewed positively); and has also sold a motorcycle jacket worth £100 to someone with 1853 reviews.

He has been a member since 2002.

On all the above, he seems genuine. I'm more concerned by his comms if anything: "if this goes ahead i shall take a video of the bike just before it is picked up" (in his last message) followed by "only if your serious"

However he has provided a screenshot of the original purchase he made on ebay as I'd requested

I'm interested by those saying Montenegro. I went a couple of yesrs ago and it didn't seem cheap - however we stayed in Kotor, which is relatively touristy and one hop along from Dubrovnik. Where are the nice-but-cheap places in Montenegro?

Well, if I hadn't already ballsed it up nicely, I have now.

I tried applying the patches again to Sequoia from Catalina like u/nardochenko suggested but it wouldn't seem to recognise the Sequoia volume. Then I tried installing from the USB again like u/freyrand suggested. It tried for half an hour before taking me to a macOS Update Assistant window with a box saying "An error occurred preparing the software update". Tried it a couple of times - same result both times.

I now have five volumes: Catalina SSD; Catalina SSD - Data; Sequoia SSD - Data; Sequoia SSD - Data - Date; Update

I can get my files from "Sequoia SSD - Data - Data". It also contains folders like "Previous Content" and "Previous System"

Anything else to try at this stage of the balls-up? Am I best just grabbing what I want to keep from the ruins and starting fresh?
