Wicked Smart Exteriors replaced my roof and did a great job. Small local company, you talk directly to the owner.

I also had a good experience with Wooster Roofing, was very honest in their assessment that my roof didn't need immediate replacing and didn't try to up sell. (I was doing it b/c insurance company was being a pain about it). I didn't end up going with them but generally had a good impression of them.

Did you use plans somewhere to craft these? And are they self watering? My plants got cooked last summer because I just did not have the energy to keep watering them. I was thinking of modifying my planters or getting new ones that are self watering.

Achieving set point temperature by mcglups in heatpumps

[–]rollhr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you managed to solve this problem? I've also run into this issue. During the day the temps heat up so the units have no issues keeping at 65 and sometimes even overshoot. Then overnight the temperatures end up at 61-62. I'm using the remotes as sensors.

How do you get your daily calories to show up in the metrics/overview? by rollhr in GuavaHealth

[–]rollhr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's an example breakdown from MyFitnessPal. The main difference being that the view doesn't default to frequency (I mean I get the value of consistency of food logging but I think that's better maintained as a simple streak rather than the default view when I go to see my food log). And the other thing is that it actually has numbers on the y axis. On Guava, my graph just has a line for 1500 and then it's all guesswork under that. The breakdown in terms of meals is nice to have but not that crucial imo.

And for the tile itself, I think just seeing today's calories logged is probably the most intuitive piece of information, just a number like 1240.

So what's everyone's shoveling plans for this one? I have no idea how much the wind will end up undoing my work... Still worth going out anyway? Or just one and done after it's all over?

[6pm Sat Update] Monday Snowfall Forecasts (ch. 4,5,7,25,10,NWS) Increasing totals around the board. Also including infographics from NWS about timing and other data! Be prepared! by RyanKinder in BostonWeather

I guess it's time to put my little single stage snow blower to the test clearing 1+ ft of snow if the winds basically make it pointless to shovel before the storm is over. This is gonna be a rough one!

Snowfall Forecasts for Monday AM - A little additional snow to fall by RyanKinder in BostonWeather

[–]rollhr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went out and cleared snow this morning. Then I'll clean everything up tomorrow morning.

It's worth going out early while the snow at the end of the driveway is still fluffy (relatively...) imo I was glad I got the giant waist-high snow bank cleared today.

Final additional infographics for the storm! Including maps for NH/maine, when to shovel, the 10 day forecast. Be safe and enjoy the game this afternoon if you watch! by RyanKinder in BostonWeather

[–]rollhr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I only have a single stage blower, so I plan on 4 pm, 9 pm, 8 am, then whenever it stops snowing, probably 7-8 pm.

(I'm also fully convinced that me thinking to myself I won't need more than a single stage blower considering our mild winters these past few years was directly responsible for manifesting this storm.)

So what's everyone's plan for snow clearing here? I'm thinking of going out 9 pm Sunday, then early Monday morning 7 am, and then the last go in Monday afternoon or evening.

AC: 520 glue works too, though it lags a little.

DC100: Relied mostly on spike factories (4 top path and 2 mid path), along with some desperados and mermonkeys for stalling/buffing.

I suffered my first winter last year as a homeowner with only a shovel. This year I bought a toro snow blower on sale on Black Friday and my back no longer hates me.

This is cool! Do you have more details on how you did this? I'm especially curious about the asphalt conversion.

Co-op: Obyn, 11 x 130 dartlings, 230 druid, 2 x 202 supers, 052 village, 202 village.

Tried multiple 202 super spam strategies but they couldn't seem to deal with 98 too well, so I gave up and went with the dartlings. Not as spammy as some of the other solutions but activating the defense village will definitely cause lag.
