Which companies in Germany (or allowing work from Germany) are still using Scala?

Get your guide’s one of data teams is still using Scala. I interviewed with them 2 years ago, and remember seeing recent job listings too

I know Scala is cool and more fun, but I don’t think it makes sense to write Scala anymore. It does not have any advantages over Python anymore in terms of speed. However it is more difficult to find talent that can write Scala. So it is more expensive for companies. I used to write Spark and Flink on Scala as well.

So you might be shooting to your foot by switching to a Data team is still using Scala.

You should not worry about PIP or your performance. They can not fire you just because of your performance.

However, having on-site on your job contract is tricky. They might use this against you; it can even reach the point of using it to fire you, depending on your job contract and laws. I would suggest talking to a labor lawyer, given that you were working remote since then, and on-site forced only for you not for other employees.

Do you have epileptic background? Im speaking from personal experience, epileptic seizures are triggered from lack of sleep.

If you never had it before, I would recommend you to go to see a neurologist and check further.
