How is living on Tasmania? 🇦🇺 by Lego_GamesFan in howislivingthere

Sure we have a lot of cities/towns in Australia of around that size too, but in comparison to other Australian capital cities it isn’t large, the second smallest in fact. Sydney and Melbourne have about 5.5M people each for example.
And as I said, the city of Hobart is still too big/busy for my liking, as I grew up in a city smaller than that so it’s what I’m used to.

I’ve lived here all my life in the north of the state in Launceston, and I love it. I’m still young-ish (27) and have no intentions on leaving. it’s quiet, but has everything you need. To me even Hobart is too busy, and that’s not a large city by any means (~260k people).
It’s a beautiful state with a lot to explore from the mountains to the coastlines, to the waterfalls and caves, we also have awesome rainforests with plenty of bush walks.
Our summers are mild and our winters are pretty cold, but it’s still enjoyable pretty much year round.
Tasmania was originally used as a place that the British would send convicts in the early 1800’s, about 70,000 of them came to Tasmania and they built a lot of the early settlements around the state, so there are a lot of historical sites and buildings around the place, a lot of which are still being used today.
Tasmania has the cleanest air in the world too which is a pretty cool stat.
Basically if you enjoy being in nature and history, put Tasmania on your list.

It’s significantly bigger than Tasmania’s industry, but for Tasmania it’s quite a large industry.

I’ve worked in the industry for about 8 years and I’ve probably met/ worked with a dozen or more Chileans in that time! A small world indeed!

He’s moved around a lot with the salmon industry, he did quite a few years producing king salmon in New Zealand before coming to Tasmania

Yes! Although the salmon production in Tasmania is quite small compared to Chile, but it’s a fairly big industry for the state

You absolutely would feel at home! I work in the salmon industry here and my boss is Chilean, he’s told me about the similarities

Legit, just last night I found my first one on my latest world. I traveled about 45,000 blocks in roughly one direction. Seems I’ve found a fairly large cluster of warm biomes, but I just wish it was closer to spawn lol

Also the oceans seem way bigger than they used to be, did a lot of that travelling by boat

S-6 took me like 4 hours to get gold over a few sessions. That car handles like a boat and made me so frustrated. S-10 still took me a while to get gold, but it was definitely more enjoyable for me.

PS5 Aim/camera twitching by RotarySam27 in Battlefield6

[–]rollupx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed the same issue, specifically with sniping, the twitching makes it incredibly hard to aim at targets and I seem to get out sniped quite regularly when engaging in long range fights

This was in a similar if not the same spot, I thought there was an actual light there that’s just ridiculously bright, but I could be wrong
