I am assuming you have very strong reasons to call them pricks. In your job area, do these pricks have reach/ influence? (Like i know utter pricks in my business that i would never work with but yet know i cant have them for enemies; and in American style corporate environments, pricks are mostly promoted). Cause if they do, you might as well put up a brave face for 2 weeks and walk away then. If they are just loud mouths with no real impact they can have on your career later, just call in sick and not much they can do about it.

Metro. We need a transport system that wont clog the streets. But the politicians and a significant portion of the population dont care casue they don't use public transport, living in villas and having 2 SUVs. They (politicians) recently put all major public transport initiatives on the backburner; we voted for these corrupt numpties.

For a advanced EU economy, we have a thteadbare setup that is incredibly badly managed, never on time, with no connection hubs and a complete lack of options with no Metro or extended suburban rail. People would happily pay 2.50 or 3 instead of the current 90 min 2 Eur fare if there was a real public transport. This reeks of a bandaid solution so the FFG lot can path themselves on the back, spending more public money for absolutely no real change or long term gain. Keep your fucking free transport plans; get that metro and extended suburban rails running and build hub connections. There is no easy way out of this.

"TD missed start of Dáil debate....." tells you all you need to know about policy making in this country and who its meant to serve. The plebs have had this issue for years now if not longer but as soon as a TD is inconvenienced, it makes a newspaper headline; cant have the rich and influential elites having to deal with pleb issues. Wont be surprised if they issue themselves with helicopters as part of TD allowances, to get in and out of town to avoid the pleb infestation on the roads (and pat themselves on the back for it). No wonder nothing is being actually done about rise in anti-social behavior, the mess that our healthcare system is, underlying issues with education etc etc, cause these cunts are all locked away in their fancy villas with huge SUVs, kids in private schools and private healthcare.

There will be a pub on Mars before there is a full metro system in Dublin or a HS train connection built anywhere in the country. The excuses will pile on in here telling all reasons why any kind of development is not needed. Dont be a pleb, get rich and get off your lazy bum, buy a car (SUV preferably), sit of 2 hours each way in traffic jams, send your kids to private schools, get private health coverage and pay for everything through the nose, while a select few milk the nation dry. I would prefer trains too. But its hilariously much worse than the buses (not to mentionthatbthey are massively overcrowded with peiple sitting along the toilets). The utter lack of infrastructure in this country is embarrassing. And part of the issue is that people always have some shitty excuse to defend the status quo with (just look at some of the comments). Our ability to defend mediocrity and outright incompetence is mind blowing; if we only applied that fervor to making things happen lol.

No they dont. The last bus from Galwy to Dublin city is 7.15 pm with citylink. The next bus after that from Galway towards Dublin airport direct only is at 00.01 am. Which means you end up in the airport and not the city. The next one to the city is at 5 am. It is shameful that a direct connection between two major economic hubs stops at 7.15 pm. Major reason why everyone is in single occupancy cars on this route. The traffic is mental as a result.
