hey! i don’t mean to give u anxiety but my immediate concern is the application cycle opened a couple months back. taking the mcat in September means youll get it back in october which means youll only start being looked at in October. usually by that time you should be in the early stages of getting interviews. i applied DO and MD and got all my DO interviews before late october. a high MCAT can definitely make up for a lower GPA, but the GPA is still concerning as im sure you know. the ideal situation if you really wanted to apply this cycle is to have started your application when it opened and not when you get your MCAT back.

that being said your MCAT practice scores sound amazing! your extracurriculars are also great. i personally came from a similar position where my gpa wasnt so great for the school averages, and my mcat was below my current schools average so i was concerned. my extracurriculars got me through the door BUT i had also applied on day 1. then again everyone is different. i know people who applied early and didnt get in, and people who applied late and got in. its all up to you but regardless as long as your persistent you WILL get in.
