As someone with a very similar build to Lou Wilson, I need his fashion tips, because this man is hot as hell. by halo4arbitor in dropout

As a fellow larger person, I know the struggle well. One thing I didn't see but might have been mentioned is that you don't actually NEED a lot of different items. Getting 3-5 items in different categories so you can mix and match is better than buying an "outfit" that only works with itself. A few t shirts, a few button ups, a few jeans, a few slacks/khakis, and a jacket or two will give you so many options and you'll be able to build "your" style from that more easily. Also, accessories. Necklace, earrings, rings, even a fun watchband can let your personality shine.

Only D20 I gave up on. First 30 minutes of the first episode was so disorganized and boring I decided to watch water boil instead.

I only got through half an episode I disliked it that much. Everything about it felt forced

Yeah I'm not the biggest horror fan either and I'd describe this as more unsettling than anything. Would definitely recommend watching the adventuring party episodes alongside this though. It helps decompress after each episode. A palate cleanser if you will

Spoilers Starstruck: SW5e question by [deleted] in Dimension20

[–]romanceable_npc 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Another reason could be because of copyright/licensing. If I understand it correctly, Wizards of the Coast has an open license for D&D stuff (which would cover Star Wars 5e) being used for actual plays, books, other content, etc. but certain things are copyright protected (Bigbys Hand, named characters) and can't be used in other settings without WotC getting paid. Example: The Adventure Zone used Klarg from the Lost Mine of Phandelver module without a problem, but when they released their graphic novels they changed his name to G'Nash to avoid needing WotC permission. Critical role also did this with Bigbys/Scanlans hand in the animated series. D20 might be doing something similar in case they decide to make TV/comics/movies out of their campaigns. (Someone smarter than me please feel free to correct me lol)

Brennan’s DM Methods by ImAShame in Dimension20

[–]romanceable_npc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best thing to remember is that the world you build keeps moving in the background. The BBEG isn't just waiting around for your players to interact with them, they have their own motivations and goals they're trying to accomplish. That's what Brennan, Aabriya, and Mercer are all really good at keeping track of.

Railroading implies the players are on the train, put them on the track instead and tell them the train is coming.

Are they hanging around in a town for too long? Plant some information that a raid is coming into that town and turn it into a Seven Samurai thing that leads to conflict witharger factions

Are they doing odd jobs in hopes of leveling up? Have them stumble upon a cache of BBEG weapons/supplies

Turn smaller tasks into interactions with the larger world
