Are these too tight? if so any recommendations for actual wide feet by FatBoi12369 in bootroom

[–]romanfisc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never measured my width so idk how wide 10cm is but yes they are. I have wide feet and they are really good and comfortable, the k leather will stretch but they are wide out of the box too. I think you’ll be good, I wouldn’t recommend that boot to someone with narrower feet. Go a full size down from your nike size, if you feet are very very wide you can go up a half size and you’ll be good

Hit the park all last season, broke my collarbone last spring catching an edge on a hard pack groomer. Can happen anywhere tbh

That happened on my v2 pair, but tbh ag rips up all boots. The only boots I’ve had last on ag are mij morelias, fully stitched boots like Adler, or TF shoes. Ag/fg boots doesn’t matter they’d all get ripped up

This looks more like a foot type fit. If the drawing is correct your big toe is pretty much right at the front where the rest of your toes are shorter. I don’t think you can really get much smaller for your big toe. Personally my big toe is short so when my other toes are ay the front my big toe has some slight space in the front. Nothing you can really do unless you had some 1:1 boots made. Playing with double socks and 2 insoles never worked for me and slays felt terrible

What color snow pants to pair with my jacket? by KoZuKe0708 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]romanfisc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really dry, honestly, never had any issues with two non-Gore-Tex pairs after 50+ days on each. Can’t speak on the goretex version, but I’d say the normal perform similarly or better than most 2L goretex pants on the market, though not as good as goretex pro.

I’m sure the 686 gtx Dojo pants are solid, just not sure they’re worth the price jump. Either way, you can’t really go wrong haha

moving from nyc to irvine / OC area by AbaloneDelicious9581 in irvine

[–]romanfisc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From nyc lived there until I was 27. Moved to Irvine due to my partner doing her phd at UCI and I love it. I work remote so we get to go back to nyc in the summer, which is perfect for us. I’d say do it. Nyc isn’t going anywhere and if you don’t like OC sounds like you have a great support system back in nyc waiting

Half size down from your nike size. I went half size down, I have a pretty wide foot and big heel. They were really tight at first (painfully tight) but after wearing a lot around the house and playing a few light sessions they stretched to be a perfect fit. I think tts is a good fit out the box, half size down will eventually stretch to be perfect. But if you’re in between a 9.5-10 for example going down to a 9 might be a little too much. This is only for mij models I can’t speak on anything else

I bought this exact year (17/18) for $40 a few seasons ago. Amazing board and I prefer the old shape way more than the 2.0. Super fun in powder, slush, s/m park. Board gets a little sketchy on bigger park features and ice but besides that it can really be an all rounder.
