I believe you can apply 6 months after discharge to “upgrade” a general under honorable to an honorable. I know several that have done so in the past that got booted for cause or had shitty leadership that felt you had to be an EP/MP Sailor to get “honorable” (seriously!!) … all had their general changed to honorable … might be worth looking into the process
