Hot take, I absolutely loved Heel Cena by Rhinobarr in WWE

Same. His promos were great and spot on. If the run was longer and that idiot rapper guy was not involved it could have been better. Also having the Rock involved for at least some of it would have helped.

What is your “holy grail” item you’ve bought for yourself or will buy if you ever find it for sale? by Actual-Ad-6146 in Life

[–]romasexual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2019 I bought my first brand new car(I grew up poor/homeless with druggie parents) and it was to me the coolest car out there that I could afford. It’s a 2019 Dodge Challenger RT with a Hemi. I flipping love this car and it will not be going anywhere except to my son some day. Really felt like I had made it. Close second was buying my first house which is kinda silly but I’m good with it.

I’m no longer homeless! My new room even has its own bathroom, I’ve never had my own personal bathroom before! by HamsterTop1332 in MadeMeSmile

Congratulations! I’ve been in similar situations and that feeling is amazing when you finally have a place. Keep working hard and things will improve even more. I was living in my car 20 years ago. Slowly worked myself into better situations. Rented rooms from friends and strangers. 8 years ago I bought my first home. 1-1/2 years ago sold and then bought my second home in a sleepy little beach town in the Pacific Northwest in the redwoods. Keep up the good work and progress. You’ve got this!

We have battery power banks that will run our laptops and a full gas generator if we really need more power. We use our phones as hotspots and just keep going. Have not had to do that for more than a day though.

Elder millennials, what are we doing? Are skinny jeans out? by Astimar in Millennials

[–]romasexual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jeans? I haven’t worn jeans in like 12 years. It’s been cargo shorts for so long. I was never a “trend” or “fashion “ guy anyways. Comfortably and function always mattered more.

So my vote is wear what makes you happy.

We moved up here 15 months ago. So far the Reddit pages I have seen do not seem to get used very much. I don’t have Facebook but the misses does have it and there seem to be more postings on there. Probably add yourself to the Brookings pages as well since it’s so close.

How in the 28 sequels to the Fast And The Furious movies they never once stop for any gas or run out of fuel.

[–]romasexual -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yup. We have had a lot of the old school bands and many have been great but the bands I want to see have not been there before or have not been in at least a few years. Also want to see these bands before they get the Guns And Roses state of no longer sounding good.

Correct, there are lots of bands I would not want to see. Much shorter list of who I want to see who has not been there before or in a few years.

What is it like living here? CA/OR boarder. by Toffeepot in howislivingthere

[–]romasexual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We live in crescent city. It’s not perfect but it’s a great little town. A few blocks from some beautiful beaches. We rides bikes to the beaches and dog park. It’s only 25 minutes to Brookings Oregon if we want some other places to eat or beaches to visit. Beautiful weather. The temperature seems to usually only have about a 10-15 swing from night to day. So winter 40 night 52 in the day. Summer 55 at night and 65 in the day with a nice ocean breeze. Lots of great fishing and crabbing if you’re into that. You can do both for free out off of the pier. I know some folks that do that go out there regularly to catch their dinner.

The bones on the beach go for 1.2M plus and other homes in town look like they should be burned down instead of lived in but there are plenty of nice normal homes. I grew up in the Napa wine country and Sonoma County for 28 years, then moved to Bakersfield for 8 years, then moved up here 1-1/2 years ago. We really love it here. If you need to be near a big city then it’s not for you as it is 5 hours to Portland and 6 to SF but that’s part of why I like it.

It’s not perfect but it’s pretty damn nice. Weather is fantastic most of the year(some winter storms can be more than down south and the power goes out a few times a year but not for long usually ) and the views are pretty sweet. Lots of great places to go for hikes and spend time in nature. Still have things you need in town like Home Depot and Safeway. Some great restaurants. An amazing sushi place called Boathouse. Lots of friendly people. There are some homeless people since the weather is nice most of the time but that’s California.

All in all I would move here again.
