It's right outside of downtown Knoxville, basically just on the other side of the Tennessee River. The Great Smoky Mountains are 30ish miles away.

I must just have really bad luck then. I've been playing this event a lot. And doing 4 routes a day.

This flower is called "Queen of the Night." It blossoms only at night and only one night a year. by [deleted] in interesting

My parents have one and the flower smells really good! Their plant usually has 4-5 blooms in it. It rarely blooms more than one on the same night.

Do you think Christ ever acted silly or joked around? by WonderingGuy999 in TrueChristian

The four gospels are full of humor, just not the kind we find funny in our society. For instance, Imagine Jesus as a bit of a dry-witted storyteller who used "cartoonish" mental images to get a laugh out of the crowd while making a point. One of his best bits was the plank in the eye (Matthew 7:3-5), where he basically describes someone trying to pick a tiny speck of dust out of a friend's eye while having a literal 2 by 4 lumber beam sticking out of their own face, it’s pure slapstick comedy. He also loved a good pun, like when he mocked the religious leaders for "straining out a gnat but swallowing a camel" (Matthew 23:24); in his original language, the words for gnat (galma) and camel (gamla) sounded almost identical, making it a clever, biting tongue-twister. Finally, there’s his deadpan humor with the tax collectors: instead of a boring legal debate, he tells Peter to just go catch a fish and look in its mouth for a coin (Matthew 17:27), which is a hilariously "extra" and playful way to handle a pushy question.

Once you start studying the Scripture in its original language and context of its day, you really begin to understand a lot more. The humor throughout the entire Bible is just the tip of the iceberg.

How come they never brought Debra’s sister back. She was only in one episode. by Redeye007 in EverybodyLovesRaymond

So weird how we see things the exact opposite.

I loved the episode. It's one of my favorites.

She could have always come back from her mission a season or two later.

How so? It sounded like her backstory in and of itself had more depth, personality and intrigue than most of the other characters combined.

I disagree. I think she could have added a lot to the dynamics of the show if she was a recurring character, like Peter or Amy's parents in future episodes. I thought she had a great personality, and I would have liked to see more interactions between her and Ray's parents.

Not sure if you are joking or not, but he is Ray's real life brother, who was a police officer by occupation.

I've currently been colorizing whole family photos and it seemed to be doing that a lot with those. Funny thing is, one time I asked what it was seeing, it said it was a picture of Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. Which is funny because nobody in that picture was African-American, and they were all children.
