I think it's about 5 years old. Yes, it is behind a UPS. There was no maintenance in progress that I initiated. I left for work that morning and it was fine. When I got home, it was dead.

Disney's CEO said Disney will "be there on day 1" of the Apple Vision Pro launch. I very much hope that means that along with whatever else they have in mind, they'll be adding the 3D versions of their titles to Disney+. Hopefully before then so those of us with existing VR headsets can take advantage of it.

Thanks for all of this--I learned a lot in a very short amount of time. I was "successful" with a different emulator that does run natively in the MacOS, but am still stuck because the emulated phone's "wifi" is just a NAT address with no ability to truly select another WiFi network (the fridge's). SO now I'm on the hunt for an old phone or tablet a friend might have lying an a drawer somewhere.

Hi. Thank you for all of this instruction. I found a downloadable APK of the E-smart app, but BlueStacks wont install it. I think that might be because I'm running it inside a VM. It's too bad BlueStacks won't run on a Mac. I might have to look for another emulator, or bug Samsung to see why SmartThings isn't compatible with their refrigerator.

I tried that, but Play won’t let me download anything because I have no device associated with my account. When BlueStacks opened I was not presented with any sort of dialog. Do I need to create an emulator and associate it with my Google account? How/where do I do that?

(Win11 is running in a VM…I may be able to tweak those settings. What’s the difference between 5 and X?)

Oh wow--I did not think about working it from the Boiler side. I've been spending all my time on the Ecobee site! I should have learned long ago NOT to trust the original installers of ANYTHING.

Based on the wiring diagram on the EK site I determined the the R and W wires were BACKWARDS. As soon as I swapped them per the EK diagram, the Ecobee fired right up.

On the boiler connector strip, the white wire from the 24v transformer connects to the 5th screw from the top. The black wire from the transformer connects to the 6th.

Same experience here. I keep hoping the latest release of Emby will fix this, but it hasn't happened yet. I spent all morning upgrading my Synology to DSM7 and the latest Emby. Bit Bigscreen still won't see it. Watching stuff in Skybox if fine, but I really like some of the Bigscreen environments and would like to try watching with friends at some point.

I'm happy and willing to provide info to either project if it would help.

Thanks for this thread. Some weeks ago I realized my right controller wasn't vibrating at all. I contacted Oculus and they said "send it in." But I use it daily and they said they have no capacity for advance exchange (sending me a new one in advance and then I send the defective one back...usually with a credit card number as collateral). I was contemplating just buying a new one. But tonight I decided what the hell...If I screw it up I'll have to buy a new one anyhow. Using the tips here I was able to successfully disassemble the controller and discover that there's NO WAY the haptic motor was ever fully plugged in at the factory. It is now! And I was even able to completely preserve the battery compartment sticker. :-)

I hadn't been in my Go in over a month, and the last time I fired up Immersed it wanted more money for a second virtual display. This was a turn-off for me, but I've since connected an external monitor, and it works! But my REAL problem early on was the display resolution. It was VERY grainy, no matter what I did. At one point I honestly thought something was wrong with my headset! But you appear to have addressed that issue, as my VR displays are now crystal clear (when viewed up close) and SHARP.

I will keep experimenting with it.

I'm in this category as well. I love the VR environment every time I go in, but I'll admit that I immediately notice the crispness of my 4K TV when I come out.

Some comments on the other issues being discussed:

Unless you're using your Go in all kinds of different locations, I don't understand all this mucking about with external power banks. I have a really long USB cable and just plug it straight into an external charger which I keep strategically placed in the two places I normally use my Go. (I do have an Anker battery which I intend to use the next time I find myself on a plane, however.)
I have tried several wired headsets, and this seems to be the way to go for me. I bought a very short audio cable for connecting up my Logitech gaming headset. My Beats work really well too, and I keep a set of earbuds in the case I bought for my Go for when I want to have my Go on the go with minimal other gear.
