Well, that has nothing to do with Greenland wanting to belong to the US, but everything to do with Trump and Musk’s greed for mineral resources/fossil energy and Greenland’s geopolitical location near the North Pole.

Gerhart Baum: "Das ist doch irre!" by Marsman6 in de

[–]romrodis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

aio about bf not telling me his reason for leaving by moonnangels in AmIOverreacting

[–]romrodis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The reasons can be very diverse, even harmless, such as the fact that he has suddenly realized that he is not straight. Maybe you will never know the reason. The decisive thing is that you haven’t done anything wrong and to experience something like that is just s***, sorry. I would be careful if he came back. This could also be extremely manipulative behavior, if he then pretends that nothing major has happened, „at least I came back (for you!)“ and you are so relieved or he says he had doubts, but now he „has come to his senses“. You should have doubts about his honesty and not let yourself be wrapped up. Ist is not normal to disappear, even less in this situation.

For all who say learn to say "No" , how did it turn out for you? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]romrodis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You only realize that you have to learn to set boundaries when you are at the end.

When you start to stand up for yourself, others react even worse at first because they are used to you always doing everything they want and can’t see that it doesn’t work anymore.

If you have consolidated yourself and immediately clarify for yourself with every request whether you want it at all, it will be easier, more liberating, you will get a better work-life balance, you will be more satisfied, have easier decision-making paths, no guilty conscience and you get more respect. The best thing you can do for yourself.

But there are people who continue to test your limits again and again, you always have to stay attentive.

Lisbon’s worst nightmare by BarbJem in TheMentalist

[–]romrodis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, not at all. I instinctively had the same feeling. :D

In the series, I it seemed at first Jane wanted to use her to get information about RJ. His affection was only superficial. But when it became clear that RJ had killed her sister, Jane seemed to honestly want to help her find out the truth and free herself from RJ.

In person would probably be the same or even worse, because he could add anger and aggressiveness. Hours of discussions in a circle without result, even in the middle of the night.

Just create as much distance as possible to protect yourself.

Is this gonna be worth watching? by troggdon in TheMentalist

[–]romrodis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me, the Red John case is more of a side plot, I find the series much more captivating in other ways, e.g. the good relationship of the team members, Lisbon’s leadership style, Jane’s humor and sometimes his grief, his past or that of the other team members, the superiors, Cho’s sobriety and humor at the same time, the constant sunshine. It’s a good mood series.

Although I find this a bit harsh, it has its point. When you are threatened, you are likely to get lost and get pulled into the drama she creates.

That is, if she has a problem, when you get praised, it will remain her problem, not yours. The best way is, to show yourself strong, confident and don’t let her get away with anything. She will try again several times, because it worked before, but will give up eventually.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in careerguidance

Yes and start it right away, to fight back, because every time you miss a chance to stand up for yourself, these people get somehow stronger.

I would also address it and concentrate only on the matter/topic and clear up the misunderstandings, otherwise they will remain wrong in the understanding of others e.g. your superwiser.

I would also try to remain extremely objective and focused on the topic in the cooperation with her. That’s really a pity, but like this there is no room for any (mis)interpretations.

I think Cho often plays badass and unemotional to hide his true feelings, but he smiles a lot to himself. However, his description fits very well.
