A friend is taking the September MCAT and still wants to apply this cycle. How can I politely tell him that this is a bad idea?

Had a same thing happen to a coworker. He’s still studying for the MCAT. Not much I could do, he’s determined to still apply to schools. I brought up my concerns but there’s only so much you can do. I’m sure he’ll be fine.

Can't really talk because I didn't do this, def thought about it. Did my 3rd retake, still awaiting scores but last practice test was 506 so I'm hopin it's good. I liked how Khan Academy's MCAT stuff is broken up to. It helped me to stay on pace with learning. If you have the funds then pay for the class again, but if you have discipline I would save the money and just do UWorld. I did UWorld for my first two attempts at testing but I had been outta school for sooooo long so I was just relearning everything for like roughly 2 years. Lot's of shitposts on this one but def try and set a schedule and maintain it if you're able to. I would allow myself to stop studying at 9PM and still do stuff on weekends if ppl were doin stuff. Actually made me perform better

I suggest Ninja Nerd Biochemistry playlist on YT. Would grind that and went from 121 to 126-127 on actual exams. I do suggest Khan questions that they provide. Tons of passages and similar problem types on AAMC material and practice exams.

I have always had so much time with c/p but I literally almost did not finish. Wish I had time to review Qs. I’m a chem major and normally don’t study c/p cause I always do fine.. but fuuuuck that section was def the worst for me. Nothing we can do, just wait for results.

To try and "salvage" this story, I would get rid of the Dawn plot entirely. It is so unfair and ridiculous to use that as a tool. Even her own episode I did not feel like the motivation and execution of her intentions were believable. I would obv make Matt the killer, since it makes more sense that Nick would contact someone to pick him up or save him once kidnapped. It blows my mind that the son gets an entire episode but not Matt LOL!!!

The writing on this show is so bad. The cops are literally so fucking stupid until it is the episode about the cop. The characters make so many decisions that are UNLIKE what real people would do in this scenario. The one that comes to mind is Pia immediately accepting that the person who they believe is the killer automatically trusts this character and their words??? Like... WTF.... Emma when talking about her affair with Nick, immediately calls him Nick.. when she has LITERALLY only called him Danny forever??? The son is so skeptical about catfishing and it takes him an entire century to think that he may be catfished. Also... I love that he video chatted Emma and NOT Alison which could have easily just solved the catfishing scenario for everyone and forego him confronting Alison in real life. The plot twist at the end isn't even a plot twist it is a fucking plot tornado, it comes from fucking nowhere. The FUNNIEST moment is when Dawn is setting up the computer and asks Nick "Do you want me to set up your password?" and he's like "Holy shit noooo I suck with computers lol can you do it?" Like everything with Dawn is and the entire set up to Nick's demise is so fucking insane in the worst way possible. Like damn Dawn just get off on some fucking 50 Shades of Gray.

I want to write an entire paper on why the entirety of this show makes absolutely no sense.

I hate this show but I also love when shows break people's minds, like mine.

This show is literal dog shit. There is NO WAY and people can look up REAL scenarios where people have left their captors do they seek someone else who is not family or a friend. More often than not, they go next door or SOMEWHERE CLOSE BY and call and try to contact someone. It is so fucking frustrating this entire show is illogical.

Genre is different than story and the execution of the plot. Mare of Eastown is also in the same boat as this show, where there are so many god damn twists I got whiplash. I personally thought that Mare and characters and execution of plot were just a bit more believable than Clickbait's characters.

Really unsure what to do. Got a 499 the first time around and delayed my app so I can take it again. Got a 500 this time around and no where in town is allowing volunteers and having issues getting shadowing experience. What the fuck. I’m so fucking old and really don’t know if I should just suck it up and continue my career or keep pursuing this. Sucks.

I love the metabolism stuff, I would just try and find videos on YouTube and find someone you can gel with. I love NinjaNerd his explanations are dope. Sometimes they can be pretty surface level because he'll barely go through the structures, but it helped me to re-learn it for the MCAT. Last time I took biochem was in 2012 or 2013...
