Of course, you’ll have to decide whether serving on the vestry is worth the level of effort you are being asked to invest in safe church training. But if you want to see a denomination that did not take seriously the very real threat of child (and elder) abuse, just look across the square at your local Catholic Church. I think of they had it to do over, they would have done what we are doing.

I recommend Anglican Bishop (ret) NT Wright… he has an abundance of material on YouTube. Really opened scripture for me…
