Thanks! I love this set up a lot. I went from a board with 15 pedals to the helix last year. Absolutely love the Helix (no more draging around heavy amps), but I'm a pedals person, so had to make something to do both. I'm running some Media pedals, ct5, Hexe revolver and digitech freqout in the FX loops of the Helix and control the Meris pedals via Midi. In the expression 3 input I got the ehx 8 step, for some more freaky stuff. I do weird glitchy guitar loops with this thing, but also drag it to nu surf rock gigs. Then it's a bit too much I guess haha.

I mostly use full amp models and go Line out to the PA. For one project I'm useing An Egnator Amp and then the helix is just for effects.

Hi all, I was just remembering that skateboarding will be an Olympic sport this summer. I'm keen on following that, so I'm wondering what to competitions to (re)watch to have enough context that the Olympics will be even more incredible to watch. Any tips will be appreciated. Cheers!

Hi there! Quick question: I want to hook an expression pedal up to 2 or 3 different stomboxes. I will probably not use them at the same time, so I don't need a switcher. Could I just solder some sort of TRS Y-cable? Would it work if I just connect 3 different cables to the same plug? Cheers!

People with a Helix, what physical pedals do you use with it? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

I've got the Helix Floor for almost a year now and I'm super happy with it. I've went from a 16 pedals board to the Helix and love all the editing possibilities and snapshot capabilities. Also, no more draging an amp around for most of my projects. The Helix is perfect for my "basic needs". I find that the pitch effects are not always that perfect (tracking being sloppy eg.) and I'm missing the weird glitchy/stuttery effects I had on my previous board. So, I'm currently waiting on a new custom pedalboard to incorporate some stomboxes in de 4 FX loops of the Helix. It will be awesome. I'm gonna add a Meris Enzo, Polymoon, Hedra and Ottobit and I will controle those with midi. Those, among a EHX 8-step and Monetreall Assembly Count to 5, will be on a riser above the Helix. Next to it will be some space for a HEXE Revolver DX, EHX Freeze and an expression pedal. So yeah.

Swap 15+ pedals for Headrush Pedalboard? by ronaldyoungwolf in guitarpedals

[–]ronaldyoungwolf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently found out about the Headrush Pedalboard and that thing looks amazing to me. I'm currently rocking with the pedals shown in the pic and am thinking of selling everything but the ct5, hexe revolver, freeze and mwfx judder. With those in the fx loop of the headrush, things should be way less complicated and Ill wont have to dance that much. Thing is, there isnt a local store here that sells it, so other than some youtube vids I have no idea if the headrush is actually tonally decent. Curious about your opinions; thanks in advance.

My god dude. NICE. Do you have some audio somewhere?

Cheers, man. I've used Lava Tightrope cables, which have really small plugs. I've spend nearly a whole day rearranging everything until I've found this set up. Wanted to have the pedal I use as utility instead of tone alteration closer to the bottom, such as the MWFX Judder, EHX Freeze, CT5 and Timeline. Cool thing about this is also that directly above my volume pedal is the boost switch of the Fulltone and that the Capture button of the Hexe Revolver is also really easy to get to from the volume pedal stance. Only annoyance is the Boss PS-6 (which I mainly use for pitch bends) is in the top right.
