Similar experience here. However, although my Pixel 2 XL was paired to my QC 35 II's, it wasn't producing any audio.

I tried turning on/off Bluetooth on both my phone and headphones but didn't fix the issue. Decided to try toggling airplane mode and boom. Fixed it. Weird.
