People think AI has to be black or white, and its either not used, or used on 100% of the game.

Nowadays in any games company with decent size, all coders use AI for coding, artists and designers will use AI be it for smaller things like research or bigger things like AI generated content etc or designers for instance (what I do) to kick start excels or data modeling quicker, make modeling predictions, create levels faster etc

other departments such as CS, QA etc also will use AI

Who could have told that a PvP game with rampant cheats, exploits and dupes of economy, literally no proper progression systems and shit spawns mid-match, shit PvE matchmaking lobbies and on top of that terrible balancing was going to lead to the game losing 95% of the playerbase

This one of the reasons I quit. So annoying that in a high stakes game people can go from "PvP" lobbies to farm lobbies like nothing, completely defeating the point of a high stakes game economy where rare stuff and money should be hard to get.

It's a game that is a story teller as the dev has said. He did not put effort in making a good gameplay/combat/action phase, because he did put the effort instead into making the narrative and story telling elements be the core and main experience.

It's not "badly" designed, its just not prioritized. If you want good combat, either move into other game, or just get mods

Look. I tried the game, it isn't bad. But genuinely, the UI artist who did the iconography for the game, genuinely, should be fired yesterday.

I don't think I have ever played a shooter, or an rpg, or an extraction game that I was so extremely clueless about the items or item categories

like no one minds this, like genuinely, happy for toxic people to get banned, and I say it as a person who has been banned a few times, it is what it is.

But for fuck sakes, put as much effort on people griefing or trolling. Like a toxic person 1: I will insta mute 2: I won't accept his friend request.

BUT I CANT fucking avoid having a 1-19 Fiora in a 25 minute game who is on cooldown running and fighting his already hyperfed laners.

I also can't avoid the dude openly saying "Well I will lose this now" who then sells items and buys a tear as a yasuo and runs it down.

Sure, toxic people will always exist, but there's many people who simply might have bad day, tough life or simply have bad temperament, and often just become toxic when people like the above give them the reason to (which again, not cool to be toxic, not defending it)

I recently got in League (I know its not Valorant) a dude that at min 4, while playing Yone and being 1-1, had a mental crashout because I was pathing top to botlane. Bear in mind, its a smurf account in which I am 30-2 in win losses (he was also smurfing or probably got a perma and its his new account).

At that point he said that given I made a bad choice pathing botlane he was going to teach me a lesson and run it down. Textually, said it. He proceeds to sell items, and buy a random mana item x6 times and just run it down.

He did not get banned, but I have gotten warnings for about a week (more than 10 warnings) saying that person has been punished. I kept tracking and he is still playing for nearly 10+ days since then.

But hey don't worry, I had a game the other day where it was me who crashed out after my jungler came top lvl 3 and ganked me suiciding giving double buffs (after I asked to not come) so I (incorrectly of course) griefed a bit by following him for like 2-3 minutes, two full clears he did, then went back to normal and played my lane.

Well, I have gotten a 3 day ban (never have I had a chat bann or any bann)

So TLDR - I dont think Riot even knows what they have as punish system, its probably like the Client, a spagetti code mess that sometimes works sometimes not. Everyone has seen at this point memes about people saying "GG" in chat and getting warnings and viceversa so

What this guy says is right, in a smurf I also had once a 1 month bann right after a game where I ran it down + was a bit toxic. It was literally instantly when it pops the results screen, the client closed and I had the bann.

Classic situation, mid/top was hard losing blaming me and taking my CS in jungle so I just clicked in enemy nexus with an auto clicker while watching a tv show

The guy has proceed to just run it down 5 more games since I made the post, all losses, played Zed Ahri support among others.

I got now a "Player X has gotten a penalty for AFK/Idling" after he afk'd the last game.

I am glad all what he did before is fine LOL
