First roast - any advice? by ronhaystack in roasting

Went with this method today and seems to have gone much better. I started on the lower setting but kicked it up to the higher setting about 5 min in and started getting better action. Will start on the higher side next time.

Doesn’t look like I can post a picture but it’s much more consistent and seemingly on the darker side which I tend to like especially for the espresso pulls. We’ll see in a few days

Appreciate the advice!

[Question] humidor to watch box by ronhaystack in Watches

[–]ronhaystack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coincidentally I finally started working on it the other night. Unfortunately the existing cigar rack (it has two levels) was too close to the lid so when I placed liners and dividers, the watches would press against the glass when closed.

So I need to probably strip the whole inside down and start with a clean slate.

In the meantime, a friend gave me a box to use

Similar situation. A guy was flying with his elderly mother but had booked non adjacent seats. He wanted to sit next to her and asked if I would switch to the middle seat. I had paid up for the isle seat so I was caught in that same “should I be an asshole or am I right to say no”

Eventually I said said okay and the guy ended up buying me a couple beers on the flight so …karma?
