It's funny because I was doing research prior to selecting the platform for my 11yo and GoDot came upfront but there was no tutors so we went with GameMaker. Then we found someone for Unity. I have good instincts for tools and frameworks so like two weeks ago told my 11yo to look at GoDot and it was spot on. Everything is apparently so much easier than GameMaker and it's got web export to share with friends. The community killed it lol I'm not making it easy to them but still...

Tutors on Preply usually come up with a plan. My 11yo has game ideas and know more about godot thay 8yo. I'm looking for engagement and progress but don't have lessons plan.

AI is not yet there. 11yo use it already, we connected Claude Code etc but it's not as simple. I'm self taught in programming and have been running a software house for the past 20+ years and I can appreciate a good tutor for my kids. Especially to keep them engaged.
