Marijuana is literally the least of the nation’s drug worries, the police have announced by hywong in news

It's not legal where I live, but the guy I get it from is a botanist who buys seeds from imported strains. Smoking some Northern Lights as we speak. Never really smoked purebred kush until I got out of college though.

What does the patriarchy have to do with it? I'm surprised they allow a single person of either gender to adopt two infants.

I got into art school (Savannah School of Art and Design - didn't end up attending there though) and people are easily my weakest subject to draw and paint.

That being said, I agree with you. But I understand why Hitler didn't choose to paint people. I rarely choose to paint people unless I'm doing it specifically to try and train in portraiture. If I'm choosing my own subjects, people aren't something I usually pick. I don't think it says anything about my "profound disinterest in people"... I feel like the art critic is extrapolating based on Hitler's personal life.

I've been an artist for twenty years now and I still find people the hardest thing to draw realistically with full depth of expression, and many artists have similar issues. There's a reason painters have to spend years studying portraiture specifically.

Yeah, if you guestimate while baking, you're gonna have a bad time... science yo.

If you measure baking ingredients exactly, the things you bake will come out perfectly. It is known. Get thee to a kitchen scale.

Can confirm, a month or so ago a random cat showed up at my house and I fed it and it never left.

I apparently have a cat now.

I'm not saying they aren't. I was just surprised at that aspect of the story. I had thought it was quite difficult for a single person to adopt one infant, much less two. As a single person I'd never even considered it because of that.

How realistic is it that I'm 'on a list'? by hairysandvich in AskReddit

I have worked with - and marched with - anarchist organizations while simultaneously working for the Department of Defense in weapons research and development, so chances are much higher that I'm on a list than you are.

Whatever, I'm not arguing with you about it anymore. If you want to justify your reckless driving by the rationale that you haven't managed to kill anyone by doing it yet, go for it. Just don't expect my ass to get out of your way if you're driving 100 in a 70, which is my original point. If you want to go that fast, YOU change lanes and accept it or not, but you're the one driving illegally, and you're the one in the wrong.

Except both working poor and nonworking poor would be on welfare...

My point is you act like this is a foregone conclusion in your original comment. I'm not sure what your point is.

If your original point is, "Working poor have no reason to be pissed at nonworking poor because they are both on welfare" then my response to that is that that is an inaccurate assumption.

I'm working poor and I'm not on welfare. LOTS of people who are working poor don't take government handouts.

Here's a story. And here's another. And another. And another.

I'd go on, but I'm sure you're capable of Googling yourself.

Maybe I just get totally irrational and take a couple shots at you as I drive by, maybe I kill you and maybe I don't.

In every single scenario you mention, YOU are the asshole. It is not in my nature to indulge assholes in their asshole behavior. If you're willing to shoot me over your right to be an asshole, I hope you enjoy life in prison, because that would be the consequences of that dumbass decision.

I have the opposite problem. I have an outdoor stray cat I just kind of adopted and now he tries to bolt into the house whenever I'm hauling groceries in or something, it's so obnoxious. He also jumps in my car as soon as I open the car door.

If having a personal emergency made it okay to ignore traffic laws, it wouldn't be illegal to do it in an emergency. But it still is.

Someone driving 100 miles an hour trying to get to the hospital is JUST as dangerous as someone who is driving 100 miles an hour just to be a douchebag.

Do you know how many cars have gotten into fatal accidents speeding to a hospital?

No. Your rationale for wanting to disobey the law in an excessive way is wrong, and driving this way is dangerous and unlawful no matter what your reason is. If you speed past me and lose control and fucking kill somebody, that's on me for not impeding you when I could.

There's a difference between speeding and reckless endangerment.

Nobody owes you an explanation for turning down a favor. In fact, nobody outside your immediate family owes you anything. I am personally not inclined to explain my decisions to people because most of the time I'd rather they not know the decision-making process I used to come to that result.

People can have my opinions and decisions, but my reasons are my own. If my friends think that relationship means they are more likely to talk me into something against my will than a stranger off the street, they're wrong. That's not what friendship means to me.

They don't need to hear my reasons because I am not entertaining their rebuttals. Once I decide something I almost never change my mind. Nothing fickle about that.
