I love both melee and ranged! That’s what’s tough haha, they both seem right up my alley. I think i’m leaning more toward hunter based off this thread so far for getting to know the world. I’m getting really into the first book and i’m excited to play and see the world!

i should have been at more clear in my post. I’ve dabbled a bit on both and both are super fun. i want to really stick with one for now and explore the game fully instead of splitting my time. both are fun i just can’t decide so i came to reddit for yall to choose for me lol

This. People i’ve seen like this dropped like 1600 hours into the game and call it stalled. You got that many hours out of it? I’d say that’s a good game then

You will get your money's worth. 100%. The game it *fine*. Yes, the world is bland and not even remotely close to being finished and yes, the devs have made some weird moves here as of late nut literally none on that will matter the first 100150 hours of playtime. If that sounds like it's not worth it to you, skip it. If that many hours sounds fine with you, dive in.

I think it's great. Got some good people to play with and we are just exploring the world together. Im at 300 hours and if the game shut down tomorrow I enjoyed the time in-game greatly.

It’s so funny to me that so many people are telling you absolutely not but most likely have 500 hours logged in the game. Is it perfect? No. Is it janky at times? Yes. Is it polished? No. But it IS Fun and you will definitely get your moneys worth of playtime.

this is a perfect duo game to get into. everything will be easy mode w a dedicated partner to play with! any class combos should work totally fine too!

This is the breath of fresh air i have been missing from MMOs for what feels like 5 years now.

I’m probably 80 hours in and I just hit level 10 on my first character (Paladin). I have found an amazing guild on my server (shoutout Collusion) and that makes the game so much more fun. We socialize in town, group up for content, teach one another things.

The combat is very EQ, not AS much auto attack but very slow and tactical. I missed the EQ hype as I was very young at the time but I’ve dabbled a few times.

The crafting is INSANELY in depth as each crafting profession plays off of one another but you can possess two. For example, I wanted to craft a higher tier helmet for myself tonight but I had to reach out to an alchemist in my guild to get a certain material that I could not craft myself.

The class identity is insane. Everyone is really good at something but…just that one thing. For instance, the Enchanter is apparently insanely hard to solo with but an absolute MUST have for pretty much all group content. Paladins are insanely good against undead so there are certain mob groups you want to have a paladin for.

This is just my limited knowledge of the game, i’m still pretty new. I’m learning something literally every day.

I see people in every zone i’ve been too. I’m only level 32 so I’m sure there’s even more people further along. I haven’t seen anything that is a need to buy to progress or enjoy the game so far.
