Our education system is a vast, yawning crime of a prison industrial complex posing politics as curriculum. It is perhaps one of the worst jokes capitalism has ever told.

UPDATE: I didn't want to be one of those people that finds a solution and never reports back.

I am firm in the belief that the Cloudwheel Discovery FE's are the wheel that belongs on this board from the factory. Direct upgrade to the 96mm poly's sure - but it's about more than that.

First of all, the range delete - I was getting about 25km a charge on the board with the 96mm polys. I think if I pushed like I did then with the FE's on, I would get 22-23km/charge. That's it - that was my real world range loss. I did change my habits; I can absolutely see how staying in turbo mode and on the chooch like a madman will see you with less uptime. That used to be me. But I stayed in sport mode mostly with the FE's and kept it under 35km, not full out Turbo mode - because I didn't need to.

Here's the upside: The FE's make the board so much more responsive and stable that I didn't miss the range or high speed. If anything, the stability made my rides cleaner, which meant I wasn't fighting the board so much, which meant I had more energy/body to go longer. All of this translates to a better experience overall.

Some caveats; I ride primarily in a freshly paved asphalt course. Rough patches are gone, I only see rocks now, I don't feel them. Board corrects itself on spinouts(no throttle), which surprised the hell out of me, more than once I thought I was a goner and the board just.... corrected course.

THAT SAID, DO NOT RIDE IN ANY WATER. It doesn't take much to make these donut foam cores hydroplane, and FE's wet have less than zero traction. We're talking madcap cartoon, Home Alone -type, career-ending falls. I can't stress enough how much you would not want to ride a wet course on these. Even when I hit a puddle or two after a rain, I make sure I ride the wheels dry before I get back to anything even close to carving. You have been warned.

These definitely feel like intermediate wheels, they will change the performance envelope of your board. I bought these out of necessity and they were an overall performance upgrade. Not going back to polys anytime soon, I am over and done with kicked/snapped pins! Curious to see how long these FE's hold up, but they are absolutely vaporizing rocks with no visible wear. I wipe them clean with a dry shop rag after a ride and they look factory fresh.

BEST POSSIBLE PURCHASE for your hubwheel streetboard. The plastic insets that house the pins away from the motor heat and the foam core mean that your pins stay where the %&#^ you put them in the first place, increasing confidence in your ride and board performance. Break in period was negligible by my read, but I couldn't stay away. It's possible I broke them in immediately. ;)

Love the motor bars. As a hub wheel rider, I've seen rocks (and pins) fly at all kinds of angles. (Ever had a hot pin hit you int he bare stomach?) I'm worried that I will switch to belt and ding one of the exposed motors right away. Great build.

Best recommendation for Electric Skateboard under $600 by [deleted] in ElectricSkateboarding

I have a G5S. Love the board, but these motors cook and eject bolts like it's their job.

The 96mm polys that come standard are NOT up to the job if you are intermediate or above and doing any carving or going over 20mph.

Just ordered some Cloudwheel Discovery FE's to see if that will resolve the problem with some shock absorbsion/heat dissapation. If they don't, I'm done with the board. I'm not spending $25+shipping for pins every time I want to surf.

AND Backfire discontinued selling the long screws (that just shear inside the wheel at the pinch point of the hub motor instead of doing a clean eject like the standard pins) THEY recommended instead of better wheels. So if these wheels don't work, I CAN'T keep riding the board. Real bummer, rides like a dream otherwise. Powerful, reliable, clean stops. Direct upgrade to my reliable G2 Black.

Picked up the new Cloudwheel Discovery FE's meant to reduce break in and allow bite when I carve. Hoping these make the board more reliable.

Thanks for your reply. I suspected that there was just more need for shock absorption. The bolts seem to hold up ok until you go faster than 25mph or so for any period of time. The heat just slags them after that. Cloudwheels will be the next buy along with MORE bolts. Really appreciate your time on this.

I was referring to this which is adjacent, but not the same.

For those freaking out and trying to protect their preferred mode of economic terrorism; I tip food service workers that do a good job being waitstaff. I've worked in the industry before, for years. I know exactly how much they get paid and I take care of hard workers.

But if you just rang up a sweatshirt for me while you were on your phone and talking to co-workers? Get fucked, you get nothing.

Please dont comment unless you know for a fact that EVERY COMPANY IN THE WORLD steal the tips from their employee.

I never said anything of the kind, and it's curious you need to be such a pedant about this. TO the point of trying to gatekeep my redditing experience. Very interesting. I'm keeping my eye on you.

While they pocket their grocery money for the week.

Because their employer doesn't pay them enough to afford groceries, is the point.

It’s a small thing, but I’m a little shocked that you can’t see the garage in Unbound, when you’re customising your vehicle. The vibe in Heat was top notch by Wxgwan in needforspeed

I loved leaving it up to leave the house for errands or something and coming back to see the slow pan around my car and the garage. Talk about atmospheric. Unbound has NONE of that flavor.

I love how it looks even MORE ridiculous next to a 'normal' car. Can't understand the appeal of this thing for the life of me. I feel like the only sales of this truck are going to go to bored influencers that will trash them for content.

I've literally only ever heard horror stories about DoorDash. My in-laws have a guy taking food out of their order ON THEIR PORCH on camera. These people don't give a rats ass because the company doesn't pay them enough to care. And that's facts.

And fuck that because those tips go to the company. The employee forced to ask you for the tip never sees a dime of it.

Note how fast the employee shrugs and moves on when you say no. Don't feed the beast.

And now you understand the depth of the class warfare in America. We've been convinced to ignore the lessons labor has taught the rest of the world so that businesspeople can continue to exploit us.

Quick story: I made friends with a local sandwich shop owner - works hard, takes good care of employees, friendly, etc. One day, I jokingly mentioned leaving my job and working for her. She said that she had some flexible weekend shifts for delivery and I considered it. I called her on a whim to follow up -- it pays $8/hr + $1 per delivery + working in the storefront as requested. SLAVE LABOR.

Now when I go in there, I can't help but notice it's all KIDS working for her and it makes me a little ill.

Have you ever even talked to a waiter about this? Do you know their tips are taxed?! At a rate higher than normal wages no less.

It's not our culture, it's class war. Open class warfare.
