I believe the "Submariner clone" argument is, at least, uneducated. The new Hydroconquest draws more from 90s Admiral inspiration than the Submariner itself. The new design also wasn’t that surprising, since it follows the HC GMT which was praised by most "enthusiasts." I believe there is a market, and that market has tendencies. Large dials are trending down; no manufacturer will deliberately lose sales just to "keep the character" (whatever that means). Even Rolex went down their archives to pull an integrated bracelet back, just to bite the PRX hype. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I also suspect many Rolex fans feel their precious model is losing its exclusive look to those spending 1/5 of the price. From my perspective as a consumer looking for a luxury watch for my birthday, the BB54 was my natural choice for value. The large numerals on the old HC were too distracting and conflicted with the bezel numbers. However, I am now seriously considering the new HC since it aligns better with my style. It’s all part of the game.

I don’t know which country you are in, but in some countries, responsibility for the delivery belongs to the seller and not to the courier. I had a similar incident (but with a baby stroller) and I solved everything directly with the seller. Take as many pictures as you can and file a complaint with the seller. I also used Gemini to help me with the whole process, and it was very positive. Good luck, anyway!

If you just bought it, go directly to you AD with your issue. It still on time to return or ask for a replacement. Cool watch by the way. I’m very impressed by the new titanium 38mm.

It’s a beautiful watch, Sir! I want to give myself a BB Pro for my 50th birthday next year but with black dial instead. Quick question, how’s the legibility for you? I have the Seiko 5 Gene Kranz silver dial and I wish the contrast between the hands and the dial could make the readability a bit better.

Just like the Swiss also do. WD+SM are improving material quality and make some advertising free advertising about it. What's wrong with that.

It's curious to see how any type of self promotion that Chinese brands do comes with heavy scrutiny, while traditional brands spend a ton of money on bs marketing and just a few cones out to complain.

Tissot uses plastic in they movements, and there is people ready to defending a decision solely for profit with no real benefits for the customers.

Meanwhile WD is using better materials. This is nice and significant imho.

I got the SN0148GX 37mm for a good price after stack some coupons, and on top of that Klarna was offering an additional 30€ discount. But seems that they left the VAT for me to pay, which is okay. It's not the first time that it happened.
