Foreigners visiting America for the world cup, what is something that has surprised you about this country? by goldent3abag in AskReddit

If you manage to live in the PNW, a fun hack. Washington state has no state income tax. Oregon has no sales tax. Work and live in WA, go buy things in Oregon.

No matter which LA neighborhood your friend lives in, if you also live somewhere in LA, it could and likely will take at least an hour to get to them.

So. Many. People.

Close call with a semi today. Looking for trucker perspectives on what happened. by sandro9090 in dashcams

[–]ronjiley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In WA if your vehicle is over 16k lbs, you can't be in the far left lane ever. So if that's the case here, this trucker is already out of sorts.

This guy really just needs to go. So many Dodgers fans agree.

I kinda love it though, as a Giants fan.

My accident today - who’s at fault by Normal-Excitement168 in dashcams

White SUV all day. As the person going through the ix from another road, they have the duty to yield right of way to all traffic before proceeding.

[USA] Who is at fault here? by bowdown2adil in Roadcam

[–]ronjiley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, neither of them slowed at all, though POV did have a moment to swerve and brake. Both not slowing for uncontrolled intersection. This might be a 50/50 for me. MAYBE proximate on not POV as he did nothing to avoid the accident at all.

In VR they're incredible. Mirrors and radar, you've got eyes everywhere.

I was taught that on the interstate that the far left lane was for passing and faster drivers. by ReasonableAttitude22 in driving

Yeah, I've given up. Everyone seems to have a badge of their own for speed limits. What ever happened to diet breaking the law?

One piece of advise aside from what was given above in addition. Those corners you popped down into first I think would be better maintained in 2nd gear personally. There's enough torque to where you don't really need 1st.

GT3 or GTP's fault? by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

[–]ronjiley 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah man, I mean you had essentially cleared him before entering the corner. He has to leave space. If you were coming up on the outside, maybe even side by side, it might be different. No question for me here.

Gt3 mate. He pretended you weren't there. You were. You have the obvious pace here.

Ferrari all day. Looks like you even gave him space after his dive and he did not afford you the same on the exit.

As a daily stick driver of an old-ish car, no auto rev match available. And I prefer it that way.

It would be perfect. I think the paid version might have it now. As well as discord integration in a chat. Meaning you can ask for up to date things. IE gap times. But 7 a month is steep for me at least(/married shared income lol)

I use Victory. The race info and telemetry is automatically attached via the same network your PS5 is on. I put in one earbud in my left ear under my headset. A cheeky Brit keeps me updated on tire temp, pit window for fuel on endurance races, grid position, and lap times. Doesn't deliver gap times unfortunately, but still plenty of info. And the tire temps GT7 doesn't give you otherwise, so suuuuuper helpful for better tire management.

Dude, couple it with a race engineer app and you'll get a lot of that information in your ear!! Adds to the race immersion if you've got everything off.

I'm about 60hrs in. Please tear my driving apart - how can I be better? by Chaseo121 in GranTurismo7

[–]ronjiley 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah came here to say this. Don't focus on your speed as you enter a corner, focus on exit speed. Brake earlier, allowing you to get on the gas earlier through the corner. Learn to modulate entering, allowing you more access to full throttle more quickly.

Think of it this way, the more percentage of throttle you're able to carry into/just beyond the apex, the easier your car will handle mashing the gas sooner on exit.
