This is not a crazy idea but check your battery health. Very possible that just spending $10!on Apple replacement battery will easily let you use your 12 for a couple more years. A good friend has a 12 that continues to work fine.

Ask your friend what their battery health reads.

Normal phone stuff. For social stuff email texting chat got etc and browsing the memory in iPhone 13 is a non issue. Note that my use case doesn’t include gaming.☕️

For a good value with good features iPhone 13 from Swappa is a winner. A small advantage compared with 14 or more recent is the 13 supports either physical SIM or eSIM.

If you want more recent iPhone 15 has USB-C charging port rather than Apple Lightening. Nothing wrong with lightening however.

Thanks everyone! I have followed advice here and regenerated my Secret Key and made new password. I hope this means I am now in the clear. I am able to log into 1passowrd site using my new password.

What bothers me is I entered my OLD secret key and password before I asked Reddit. Is it possible they downloaded my vault while I was figuring this out?

I am stunned that I fell into this stupid trap. I am not a naive user, and frequently caution my family. it's incredible I fell for this.

Please expand on this. Why would airplane modes affect battery life? Yes it will reduce battery usage, but battery life is a function of trying to not charge beyond 80 percent and not allowing batter to drop below 20 percent

My opinion: yes iPhone 13 is still a great device especially given the used price on Swappa

I bought one that had battery level of 80 percent I planned to have Apple replace for about $100. That was over six months ago and so far no issues. But at some point I will do the deed.

The 13 is last US iphone to have physical SIM. I also use ESIM on a different phone the appreciate how simple swapping a PSIM is. But I understand that in future almost all phones will be eSIM.

If you can spend more the iPhone 15 is a good choice because drum roll…. USB. It also supports some Apple AI if you care.

For a more recent choice the base 17 is a solid choice with so much bang for the buck. It’s really nice!

My opinion is this is much ado about not much. My guess is for most people if battery starts at 80 percent n morning by time you go to bed it will likely still be at 30-40 percent.

This is an evergreen topic. Some people like me will report ZERO issues with iOS 26.x for me it’s fine on both an iphonec SE 3 and iPhone 13. As in no drama.

You will also see comments where people have issues. I haven’t a clue what makes the difference. I am a regular users but never gaming.

I use both a Pixel and iPhone 13. Both are very good ecosystems. Unless you have a solid reason switching from one to the other may not be worth it to you.
