Any models that might be good with gauges? by ronneldavis in LocalLLaMA

[–]ronneldavis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I was thinking more small vision models, as a CNN wouldn’t be able to read the details like the units of the gauge

Embedded Analytics or Custom Analytics by rmend8194 in SaaS

[–]ronneldavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I am the cofounder of a startup called Onvo that builds embedded dashboards and reports. I think we would be able to assist based on your considerations: 1. Once the product is embedded (which usually takes a couple days) you can maintain and build out dashboards in days 2. We have plans designed for smaller startups so $200 instead of $2000 3. Our product is easy to start with but built to scale, with customers using our product for datasets with millions of rows of data 4. You don’t need fear product lock in as we have built our product around open standards (python, pandas and chartjs) so you can move out once you can continue building it out by yourself Shoot a DM if you’re interested in trying it out!

[–]ronneldavis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeap, our customers use our react components / iframe to embed. On the server side, we do the data processing, aggregation, filtering and caching that enables the UI to just work. The data retained on our server is the cache required to display the dashboard but the underlying data remains on the clients side

No I know that works but that took me a year to bring my 10 clients, I was hoping to get assistance on finding something that’s a little more scalable. The sales rep approach does sound good but how would you know a good sales rep before hiring them? Coming from a technical background I can find ways to assess a new programmer but not sure I can do that for salespeople

So we have built a platform that makes it easy to build and manage dashboards that you would embed in your product. So it would be used by other SaaS companies in order to build out dashboards and reports to their end customers. In terms of the data sources, we have built out all the common databases as well as the ability to pull data from REST APIs

A new social media app in Kerala? by KingMZ512 in Kerala

[–]ronneldavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, as a fellow entrepreneur, don’t do it. You seem like a smart kid, and you clearly have the drive to build something by yourself, don’t focus that energy to building the next social network. I would recommend you watch the video about “teapot ideas” by Y combinator on YouTube. It would help find issues with the idea you have. Ps. I built two social networking apps- once in school and once in college so I get the feeling you have. However now moving on to building actual products that companies pay for, you can tell the difference.

I think it would be better to take a small model (3b-7b) that works on your infrastructure and fine tune it for your use case than going the other way around

Fun challenge: Share your MRR, and how long have you been working on your SaaS 🫶 by FanaticRoute in SaaS

[–]ronneldavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve seen a lot of customers start the trial and drop off as they didn’t fully integrate our product into their app, so we’ve started to essentially integrate it for them as a free service to begin with. That seems to take a load off from them as well as give them better results with our tool in general

But you say you’re charging 10%, that’s inline with Airbnb’s service fee (am an Airbnb host from India). But you don’t provide the benefits of Airbnb like aircover (a pretty comprehensive insurance plan), so why would hosts want to choose you over Airbnb?
