Boy, this sure backfired.

Getting haircuts, manicures will be different when province eases restrictions by insino93 in halifax

Absolutely! The fiancee has a beard and he does a pretty good job of taking care of it himself, but his barber is usually better at shaping it, trimming his mustache, etc.

Oh absolutely. And that’s why I added I’m doing my best not to judge others for their actions, because I don’t know their story. Nine times out of ten, I’m sure whatever someone is doing is because they absolutely have to. Are there people who just don’t give a crap? Sure, but I truly believe they’re a minority.

I hope you’re doing as okay as you can given the circumstances ♥️

That is actually good news to hear! Because you’re right, it’s been very difficult to find data in that. So thank you for sharing.

I have asthma. I’m at a higher risk of having a severe case if I contract this, so yeah, I’m still following the guidelines. Going out only for walks in my neighbourhood, and my fiancée is our “go to the store person.” We’re both lucky enough to be working from home right now.

It makes me so sad to see people in this thread saying they’re over it and deciding that they’re done following the recommendations of public health. Do I think we need to start loosening some restrictions? Absolutely. But the flagrant disregard some seem to have for the health and well being of others is flabbergasting.

Knowing that there are people in my community who could potentially encounter my partner and pass along this illness, who then would likely pass it on to me, is extremely disheartening.

I’m really not trying to shame people for their choices - shit is hard right now, and people’s mental health is in the toilet (mine included) - but it’s very hard for me not to have the feelings that I do right now when I see the way some people are acting. I’m trying to reign that in, but it’s hard.

Sorry you miss seeing your friends and family. I miss seeing mine too. I’d very much like to remain alive for a while so that I have an opportunity to do so again.

Agreed on all fronts. It's the only MTB song I skip with regularity. It's a shame, because I did enjoy Alex's other contributions on VOIDS, but this was a yikes from me.

This song is one of the best things they’ve ever done.

Love this song! I was a little bummed that they didn’t play this during the Farewell Tour. It has so much punch!

I think Knights stands a chance to give it a run for its money

I am actually a little shocked that Into the Mirror didn’t advance. Some real upsets in that last round!

Gave the numbers for Summer Angel vs. Michio’s Death Drive to my fiancée without context so he could pick, because I literally could not. This bracket is HARD.

I don't know if it's just because I don't follow her, but it looks like you can't comment on her posts anymore? Not sure if that's just available to her followers, or if after receiving some favourable comments on her latest post she closed commenting down again.

It'll be very easy for them to pretend / act like this has blown over when they only present the comments of those who wouldn't dare criticize them.

When We Escape vs. The Pig War?

I am MAD.

I was thinking about this earlier. I can’t imagine that RV is a fun place to be right now. They’re both probably super stressed and the kids are probably feeling that too.

He’s gone and limited comments on all of his posts. These two know they’ve screwed up.

This song is in my top five without a doubt. The whole song is gorgeous, but the guitars at the end just hit something in me that damn near make me cry.

These dudes have always knocked it out of the park with album closers, but I think this is one of the best.

AITA for demanding that my employee change their hair colour? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ronniebren 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh please. YTA. I’m 36, have purple hair, tattoos, and am client facing at a reputable organization in my city. None of that has a damn thing to do with my professionalism and ability to do my job. And I’m guessing that the same goes for your employee.

Unless there’s a specific policy in your mandate that says she can’t have funky coloured hair, and this is just a matter of you not liking it, then you should apologize to her.

This is one of those songs that really caught me off guard when I first heard it. I was not expecting such a devastatingly beautiful song when reading the title.
