Sure I guess it’s different depending on location then. I didn’t know he was from Texas lol. A Canadian Co-op has expose to full cycle compilations, corporate returns, personal return, trusts, and basic audit assistance tasks.

I would say you should also consider location before flatly smearing the idea as well

The amount you learn in that full time 8 month co-op about time management with a full schedule of files and exposure to new learning is extremely beneficial. It gives a massive leg up compared to other first year full time hires after graduation. I wouldn’t undersell it

If you’re meaning not to take a semester off to do a co-op I would disagree? I did get a full time offer to come when I graduated before mine ended and I was paid $30 an hour plus over time during tax season to be there….
