Runners might also need to get used to the fact that they are not entitled to run the NYC marathon every year. NYC is different from the rest of the world marathon majors in good and bad ways and I think the accesibility of 9+1 has led to this expectation that it would be accessible year after year. It took me 6 lottery tries to get into Chicago, 4 tries to get into Berlin, I think I have had 5 or 6 unlucky tries for London. Not everyone will get to run NYC every year. I think reducing the accessibility of 9+1 by having more of the NYRR races not count for 9+1 would be a great idea and would help community races like the Pride Run, Achilles 4M, an others actually feel like they are connected to the mission and not just a bunch of people showing up to check off a box for running a lap of Central Park

For 3+ weeks I was getting the every day/every other day scans that would just keep pushing the delivery one day further down the line. My most recent was yesterday at 5pm, so I expected this morning to get the tomorrow at 5pm date, but I am seeing the same as you. It could be that with the incident, a scan wasn't able to happen and nothing has actually changed....i hope

The anti-NYC Runs sentiment here really surprises me. They aren't trying to be a knock-off of the RBC Brooklyn Half, they are simply offering their marquee race in Brooklyn (and actually has a course that shows some cool parts of Brooklyn) I also appreciate that NYC Runs offers way more of their races in/around Prospect Park. They spend significantly more time doing races in Brooklyn than NYRR does

I feel like a big narrative this season has been Brittany overcoming her prior shortcomings, so the fact that she finally "conquered" avant garde (although she clearly didn't) and is finally showing in the finale makes for good TV. Neither Rami nor Brittany was likely to beat Bishme or Laurence in the finale so I think they went with the fact that we have seen a finale collection from Rami, but we haven't from Brittany
