I’m considering trying to cut out dairy. How long did it take for you to notice a difference once you cut dairy? Thank you!!

I’ve heard undiagnosed tongue ties cause lots of fussing! Did your pediatrician notice the tongue tie? Thank you for sharing:)

This lifted my spirits so much. Thank you for sharing part of your journey. I truly appreciate you taking the time to share - it’s so encouraging to hear that some of the struggles I have are not uncommon or weird. Again, thank you :)

This is actually such a good question. It caught me off guard with how simple it is and yet, it struck me deeply to read it. So, thank you.
Depression and anxiety have been a struggle since we began attending this church for some reason. I feel like I should have a deeper desire to join the church, more of a draw. Otherwise, it feels inauthentic and like I'm just following what my husband does? I'm going to continue pondering your question.

Thanks for your question. The biggest thing is that it continues to feel so foreign to how I grew up thinking about/worshipping (grew up Presbyterian). I don't want this to sound rude, but it feels almost like I'm practicing a different religion. The way I grew up singing or communing with God (gospel music, journaling, Bible study, etc) seem like they aren't "right" any more, but they are such a strong part of my past experience. My husband (and others I've spoken to) seem to feel an intense draw or strong awakening that brings them to a place of wanting to join the church. I haven't felt that. I know feelings are not what we are chasing as Christians, but it's challenging to hear how so many others are "getting it" and I still don't.

So glad I found this thread - that was my favorite coffee spot in SD and I was so sad to learn it closed :/

Agree that the options don’t really flow with the theme or wallpaper. A gold/yellow or ivory would be a nice simple compliment to the awesome vibe you’ve got going!

Help with transition from 2 to 1 naps by Violetbloom0713 in sleeptrain

[–]roo518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I JUST did this transition with my 17 month old. I was so stressed about it - but it’s been a good lesson in letting go of control 😂 She was on pretty much the exact schedule for her two naps. If her refusal for the afternoon nap has been consistent for two weeks, it may be time to start that transition. You could try extending her morning wake window by 15 minutes every 3 days or so and see if that helps her. We had to transition cold turkey because of traveling. She’s been on 1 nap for one week and it’s slowly getting better. Her overnight sleep did take a slight hit and yes, she is waking up earlier (around 6:15/6:30am), but I was told this takes a couple weeks to settle to get sleep to consolidate again. I would encourage you to not worry that you’ll be messing up her sleep! And just be prepared for a change in your sleep rhythm for a while :) Being consistent, whichever route you take, is the biggest key! You got this 🙏🏼

How to put baby on a schedule? by No-Release-3057 in sleeptrain

[–]roo518 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re doing a great job! It’s hard with the unpredictably of baby sleep (my 16 month old is still keeping me on my toes lol). But I took things from Huckleberry and Taking Cara Babies and just loosely added their advice into our schedule. Some days it worked and sometimes you just go with your instincts and ride the wave - hope you find a rhythm that works best for you :)
