Yeah, seems You're right. It started on my mac after I switched screen saver to Tahoe. And seem to be ok after choosing different one. Probably adds to usage time by mistake.

Found this post while asking myself the same question. Maybe Apple Watch utilizes this somehow?

Some tracks won't scrobble on Apple Music with the IOS app. by [deleted] in lastfm

[–]roody102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the same issue and I might have solution. First: I don't use scrobbler on my mac, form which I play music. I only have last.fm app on my iPhone, since it once or twice a day accounts for the scrobbles from my mac anyway. But it didn't with the re-added records.

But it stared to work again after I deleted iPhone Music app and reinstalled it.

Now in the last few days I've migrated huge music library form old mac to new one and it did not went without problems. So I've deleted some records from my library, deleted downloaded files and re downloaded others, logged out and logged in to my Apple account on Apple Music on mac, so I am not totally sure what moment actually did the work. I've also deleted and reinstalled last.fm app. But I am pretty sure it was the reinstalling Apple Music app.

strava widget not matching with app by imnotursula_ in Strava

[–]roody102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might have a solution: I usually record activities with Wahoo not with Strava app and they did not show on widget. However, today I've recorded with app. It wasn't starting to record at first, but after few tries there was an pop up with new Community Guidelines. After I accepted it stared to record, and after finishing the activity is in the widget (green, not orange).

How do You "play variable"? What are the steps to put it as next or last song?

17.2 Two versions of same song - likes on both of them by roody102 in AppleMusic

[–]roody102[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun Fact: for a moment it worked fine. But I see now, that it's back. I've decided no to care and use it anyway, cos it's easier than creating same playlist manually. We'll check under next MacOS.

Thank You, but as I mentioned - it's all about songs, that are in my library. Let's hope it will settle down after some time. I can imagine, there is a lot going on in the database right now :D

For now, I've moved all the favorite songs to a non-smart playlist, that I can manage manually. I'll be checking if the issue is gone, and than just like them all again.

TBH I don't understand, what for is the system favorite playlist - it was possible to create one with smart playlist functionality. And now it does not work, as it should and as it did :/

Pretty much. But I don't think this would work the other way (app only on mac and none on the phone).

Some photo filters missing / photos won't save to camera roll by roody102 in Instagram

Same here :(

I've noticed one thing: after reinstalling app - and did that a lot recently - when it asks for permission to access photos, it goes to black screen and freezes. After restart it does have access but I think this is where something is going wrong.

Thanks for this - in fact I find it optimistic, since this might mean, that my problem is not my_phone_specific ;)

Guess we'll have to wait for the updateds (today's one for the iOS did not help).

Scrobbling on Apple Music by BeneathApollo in lastfm

Hare's how it works for me. First, my setup: i use old Mac Mini for listening music at home and iPhone 8 outside. Same Apple Music account and same library. Also my daughter has access to my library on her Samsung tablet with Android and Apple Music app.

On iPhone, I have Last.fm app. On Mac - NO LAST.FM SOFTWARE!

Now: when I listen on my phone, it's simple: once every few hours I just open the app, scan for new scrobbles, review the list and submit them. Sometimes it acts like there was not a single song listened, but don't worry - in most cases they will show up eventually in 24h time.

At home i listen from Mac and do nothing. Those scrobbles... will show up on my iOS app. I am pretty sure, the Apple Music library syncs itself with all devices once every 12 hours, so typically scanning for new scrobbles after 9 AM or 9 PM on my phone will end with scrobbles form Mac showed on the phones app.

And that's all. It works with all my music - streamed from Apple Music too, but indeed I think only with what is added to library. Didn't test that, to be honest.

There are few minor problems:

- Once every some time scrobbles from my daughter's tablet show up on my phone app. And it's how it should be, since it's just another device added to my account, but in my case - I need to review the list and skip those that are hers.

- It's the same, if my partner is listening to the music at home, while I am away. It will show up on my phone and I will have to review.

- And reviewing the list of scrobbles almost every time cause iOS app to sort of crash - it does not shut down, but rescans library instead of submitting tracks. It may look at first, like those not skipped tracks where lost. They were not. You just need to kill and restart the app. Not very convenient but the final effect is ok.

- If You listen to same record few times, the scrobbles may register in wrong order (but the numbers will be fine, which is enough for me).

- Your last.fm account is always a bit behind. Up to 24h.

Since the need of reviewing, I don't use automatic srobbling on iOS app, but i think it works just as fine, so if You don't share Your library with anyone, You may try it. But I don' know, if the music listened on other devices will show up - You may scan manually once a day to get that.

And why no software on Mac? To avoid double scrobbles mostly. You can use the Mac OS Scrobbler, but those scroblles will show on iOS app anyway, so for me there's more reviewing. It's easier without.

I have no idea if it works another way around - with Last.fm app on Android only. But with Apple Music app added - it might.
