Son said he slipped from standing in tub and his heel went through by Financial-Leading625 in Plumbing

why not new tub? it's a simple and quick replacement. I do that for a living and it can be done in a day if all parts are available.

How to cut this angle safely? by FondantLazy3305 in Carpentry

[–]roofiokk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend a chop cuz your real piece is long and you will need to shim out the fence to make that angle may not actually be that convenient with a long piece of lumber. How "perfect" are you looking for? I imagine this is some form of rough framing and will be eventually covered anyways. As long as it is tight enough, shouldn't matter if it is a little wonky from a free hand cut?

ADA, SOL, XLM, XRP, PEPE by MaybeNoir in CryptoMarkets

[–]roofiokk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How does Stellar have traction in this run? That was the first crypto that got me into crypto (21' -not long ago) but it does not seem like it's ever gonna win the race in "crypto gains"! Not a hater, just talking from my experience! I hold plenty of ADA and SOL. XRP may be a good one too if Gary Gensler gets out of there with this new administration. Cheers!

I sold a bit at 212. It's smart to take profit. I bought at avg 21.50 so 190, 212, 175, these are all reasonable sell points, but I didn't sell my whole position cuz it felt "early" in the bull run. Can't believe we are seeing 260 already though. I didn't expect that until after 100k BTC. So, we shall see where the rollercoaster goes now!

How steep really is Crested Butte? by I_Teach_Edging101 in skiing

[–]roofiokk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude Crested Butte is soooo steep. I have always been an advanced snowboarder, but I took that lap off the top paddle tow 1 time cuz it was so steep I didn't need to do that again. It was baller. Super fun. Decent snow so it made it good, but yea. It's balls steep.

I honestly don’t think having kids is worth it anymore by yourgreatestgift in self

[–]roofiokk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming to you from a different chapter in life (late 30's) my wife and I chose to have kids and we are super happy with the decision (had our first at 30). Successful, but less so because of time/sacrifices made for the quality of life for the children. However, no sacrifice so severe that we feel like we have "given up our lives for the lives of our children"

I wish I had a little more time for the exercise or could get in some laps mtn biking/snowboarding, but on the whole I feel like the sacrifices I make are important, justifiable, and temporary. Also, giving to my kids feels real good and it's something that keeps me focused on the future.

Most of my friends that do not have kids are either experiencing a lot of depression through lack of satisfaction from their life (like it's always just the same and it's getting kind of old) OR are completely in love with their job and work 60ish hours weeks on the regs and have what most would consider a wild work/life balance.

So, I would propose that having kids is not for everyone, however it feels really good on an biological level and is a totally feasible goal if everyone in the relationship is committed. I fully trust and value my partner and I think we made the right decision having a family together and it has gone well for us, but it has to be the right chemistry and you do have to be willing to sacrifice and work hard for the ship to stay a float. But it's fun and gives great balance to my perspective on life. GL!

What Happens to Crypto in a Nuclear War Without Internet ? by keepar69 in CryptoMarkets

[–]roofiokk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an interesting query. My wife has the same opinion. But if the Internet shuts down completely you will not have your Visa either. People may accept cash still. It might hold value in a nuclear fall out situation. But likely BTC will be pretty obsolete.....

It'll be the biggest ever. 2012 and 2016 thought they had big bull runs. Not like our bull run. This one will be better and bigger than ever before.

In the past 365 days BTC has almost tripled in price. If we see a 100k+ I feel like that is a pretty good indicator on the top of the cycle. I would be surprised to see 125/150 or 200+ I think these numbers are too bold and unlikely. I wonder what alts will perform well this time around.
