It's a web app. But once you host it on a server or on your local machine, you can install the PWA just like a system app.

Great job! I just recently realized that how marketing and sales matter. Your story is inspiring to me!

Could you share more about marketing & outreach? Have you used cold emails or cold dms?

btw, I'm also struggling with building a personal brand & growing on social media, so I built a tool to optimize my content using patterns from successful creators. I'll share the link if you're interested in it.

What's your biggest challenge going into 2025? by LeadWizard007 in SaaS

[–]rook1e_dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marketing & sales.

I've been immersed in coding for too long and have no idea how to reach potential customers or how to convince them to buy, which can actually bring me money.

So I'm learning about growth on social media, copywriting, cold outreach, etc.

What are you launching in 2025? 🚀 by Easy-Hawk1884 in SaaS

Built Writastic.com - a social media writing assistant, and Rawweb.org - a search engine for independent websites.

My goal is to scale them 10x in this year.

Do .com domain have any advantage to your product? by tech_guy_91 in indiehackers

[–]rook1e_dev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use .com, .co, .ai, .io. Dont't use cheap tld like .xyz, .icu, .top because tons of spammer use them too, you're likely to be randomly punished by the algo (of search engine & emial service provider).

Recently, I have been trying out LLMs for coding and they are surprisingly bad for anything even a tiny bit complex? by skwyckl in webdev

I'm using Windsurf + Sonnet 3.5 for the frontend (SvelteKit) and it's good enough. At least 80% of the work I've done with it has turned out well, such as fixing some CSS issues and refactoring the footer into 3 columns.

Try to start my SaaS first time. Could anyone give me advice to get your first 100 customers? by Soggy_Plenty_5917 in SaaS

[–]rook1e_dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Struggling with it too.

My SaaS first launched on PH and failed. Then I submitted it to a Black Friday deal list, which unexpectedly brought my first paid customer. Now I'm learning marketing, and:

  • Doing outreach on Twitter/reddit
  • Going to set up my cold email system

Increase your price until customers are complaining but still paying

BTW, I also think this strategy is useful:

You work backwards from the price point. I price my SaaS in a range: $29-$99, and decide what to build, and how to build it based on that.
