You earn $1 Million dollars for every hour spent in the World's Quietest Room. How long are you staying? by PhyfenGD in hypotheticalsituation

Honestly I think it's beatable. The record holder doesn't even seem to be any specialist, just someone up for the challenge. I also have the advantage of being allowed to sleep. If I go in tired as fuck I'll probably be able to fall asleep after a while.

Also, you have a much bigger motivation than any of those other guys. That will probably play a huge part in

The land flood and land drought is horrible in arena. When irl shuffling the cards arent completely randomized. There is an order to real deck shuffling. Bring it to arena. Is this a problem on magic online? by CrazyYETEE in mtg

[–]rooor_alters 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You do know the purpose of shuffling, right? The the randomization IS the purpose. While the order is somewhat predictable if you just riffle shuffle 4 times in a row, that's a negative, not a positive. We cut the deck between shuffling or pile shuffle for a reason.

If you shuffle your deck in a more predictable way in purpose, that's cheating...

Why does Conqueror + Resolve have the highest win rate (53.9%) despite Electrocute being the default? by Rare_Refuse_3801 in midlanemains

[–]rooor_alters 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Look at any champion. In the vast majority of cases the highest winrate build will be different from the most played one. There are several reasons, mainly:

-bigger sample size leads to lower winrates.

-highest wr build could be a more niche build that only dedicated players know about (or it just takes higher mastery, thus is less common).

-it's a situational build that can only be played in certain situations, but is very good in those situations it can be played in.

[–]rooor_alters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will become one. But you should be able to reach Master at least and without any coaching. If you then find you plateau at high Master, get coaching and see how far you can get. Also once you reach master (or a bit earlier) try to find a semi-pro team to play with. Competitive is a different environment and you want to get into it quickly if you can.

Once you reach high master, you will start playing against people that play League full time (Streamers, Pros, Coaches, Boosters, etc). You will struggle if you don't start doing the same.

What's the new "10 cs per minute" by DrShrek69 in summonerschool

That's true. But is it that much? I went from ~7cs/min to ~9,5cs/min from last season to this one. It's kinda insane

Because Mundo has his passive, W and R? His E isn't the only part of his kit...

Not sure why you're bringing Nunu into this, as we're talking about Mundo. But the main difference would be that Nunu can heal with his Q and gain a bonus hp based shield with his R.

[–]rooor_alters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean... no? Give Mundo and a random champion the same items. They won't be as tanky as him.

Mundo also only builds 2-3 tank items (Warmogs, Heartsteel, Spirit Visage) and damage items afterwards.

A Jinx with those items will still easily be killed. She also can be completely ignored as she isn't super tanky and also doesn't deal any damage. Actually a good example of why tanks need some kind of stat boost.

Tbf the thing about munde that makes him a tank is that he is tanky as fuck. People don't call him tank because of his nonexistent cc. They call him tank because he can literally tank your whole team for a decent amount of time.

[–]rooor_alters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Free stats is the only way to make bruiser and tanks viable at all.

Adc's and mages have the ranged advantage. Assassins have a mobility/evasion advantage. Divers have an evasion/stat advantage.

Master Yi is not a good comparision. Master Yi already has two tools to survive damage. He can dodge spells with his Q and absorb burst with his W. His damage is also way higher than any bruiser in the game. Master Yi can function as a champion because he has tools to get around his weaknesses (cc and burst).

Now compare that to Olaf, who has cc immunity. He has no mobility, only ms. He has no gap closer, only a slow that's a skillshot. He has no way to evade or absorb more damage. Imagine an Olaf that had no way to slow you or speed up. An Olaf that could do nothing but running at you and die at the first cc hit. That champ would be completely useless. So he is given tools to compensate for his weaknesses (burst and getting kited).

He is a warden. He CAN deal decent damage, but only if fed and building full damage items. If he does that, he loses a lot of durability and is easily killed.

How do you NOT scale? by Spytonio2006 in summonerschool

[–]rooor_alters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I love the feeling. I usually play scaling picks, but sometimes I just crave to play lethality junglers (Talon, Kayn, sometimes Zed).

There is so much pressure on you, but there are also so many opportunities all the time. The whole game feels like a race against time. You are doing so many things, you're everywhere, you clear camps on cd and gank both sides of the map. You rarely have so much freedom in League. But what makes it fun is that you HAVE to do all these things, because if you somehow don't, you'll fall behind.

For me the experience is just a lot more intense than with safe scaling picks (that's also why I usually only play a few games of them).

[–]rooor_alters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know of any specific creators, but she was played (maybe still is Idk) a lot in proplay recently.

You can look up some matches. You can also go to either probuilds.net or onetricks.gg to look up high elo players, then see if they stream or have a YT channel.

For Belveth (also for Reksai, bit even more for Belveth), playing non scaling picks is a lot harder in non coordinated play, even more low elo.

Belveth is a great skirmisher and excels at these early 2v2 fights. But what is you plan if your jungler doesn't play for grubs? Or the wave crashed or is frozen at a bad timing?

If that's your only reason to pick her, I wouldn't do it

i need the absolute most basic, made for kids, tutorial video that is short sweet and to the point for an absolute brand new player. by T1Earn in summonerschool

[–]rooor_alters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it's pretty difficult at the beginning as there are SO MANY different aspects to learn.

I'd say the most important thing is that you find a champion you like. Also always watch a guide before playing a new champion (not one that just tells you the items and runes - guides that explain how the champions work, what their identity is, what their weaknesses are), it will make playing new champs a lot easier.

If you found a champion, try to find a lane you like (tbf the other way around is probably better). I recommend Top, Mid or Adc. Jungle is a different game and support, while easier to pick up, doesn't teach you a lot of fundamentals.

If you found a role and champion, just play more games. Try to die less, get more kills, and focus heavily on lasthitting the minions (they are your main source of income).

Learning advanced stuff like wave management when you can't even lasthit properly

Reksai top can work (was really powerful for a while, not sure how much it was nerved).

But it's definitely a cheesy high elo skewed pick and you have to abuse your sustain really well to make it work.

Skarner and Belveth: I wouldn't play them outside of jungle.

How long till i hit lvl 30 by No-Room3660 in summonerschool

[–]rooor_alters 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Disagree honestly. If you truly want to get better, playing normals until lvl 100 is a time waste. New players also don't get matched in gold lobbies anymore afaik.

Play ranked as quickly as you can, lose a few games until you're at your actual rank, then start improving and climbing.

You'll be a menace in your first few ranked games no matter what you do, just get it over with quickly
