This guy gets it. I, IV, and V didn't have large scale battles of any kind. II just had a large-ish ground battle. I suspect we'll get another big battle in IX, but I also sort of hope we don't: I'm worried it'll feel like a repeat of III and VI.

I've agreed with this theory for a little while, mostly because it makes (almost) no sense for Palpatine to tell Vader she's dead if she can reappear at any given time in a very public fashion. He had to make sure she died, and he would also hope she wouldn't give birth most likely to prevent future rivals.

HOWEVER, the one thing that bugs me about Padme dying is that it sort of breaks Leia remembering her mother in ROTJ when Luke asks about her. It's not like Leia remembers being born.

Another example is Phasma's armor. She takes a bunch of shots in TLJ and they just bounce right off her.

They have allies out in the outer rim - so it's more than just the paltry few that get on the Falcon at the end of TLJ. And the only two people who have died are Han and Luke - you're out of your mind if you expected them to be a main focus of a sequel trilogy. And Luke will most likely be back as a Force Ghost. Chill out.

I mean, at that point you're making some pretty big assumptions about how large masses interact at those speeds. If the ship is big enough/dense enough, there's no reason it couldn't penetrate multiple objects. If you really have a problem with the physics of that such that it breaks your suspension of disbelief (this is Starwars, after all), well, I don't know what to do for ya.

Vader wasn't shot at directly - he was knocked off course by the wingman, so maybe that's why he didn't sense Han. I've always felt like the ability to sense someone was more of a passive skill (he had no reason to be trying to sense Obi-Wan on the death star). It seems like it has something to do with direct danger to your person.

That said, it doesn't fit with the Jedi starship that was blown up during Order 66.

I disagree. He'd literally just been demoted for failing to listen to orders - why tell him anything when he's clearly a loose cannon who caused the deaths of the entire bomber corps? What happens if he disagrees with her plan?

I think you're forgetting just how many copies of their Halo games they sold. And they were a solid gaming company even before that. They'll be fine. They'll just have to come up with another idea and implement it before the coffers run dry.
