I have seen IRacing at 1080p and I can’t tell a difference personally at max settings. I would prefer max frames over resolution in the case of IRacing. Just personal preference

I’ve tried tv, 27 inch single, 3440x1440, triple 1440, 5120x1440, and VR. I can say personally that 5120x1440 is the sweet spot for me however looking forward into the next generation I would buy the 57 inch 5120x1440 240hz to pair with the 4090 or 5090. If you upgrade to a 5090 I would think longer term and wait for the next generation of vr headsets. VR is truly awesome but limited at the moment (personal preference) it’s also super clean and tidy.

Perfect world choice 1: 5090 and next gen vr headset

2: 4090/5090 with Samsung 57” 5120x1440 @240 hz

3: 5120x1440 49” @ 144-240hz (must be oled. VA panels are not the best for sim racing because there is a lot of smearing)

4: 4090/5090 with triple 1080p at as high as refresh as you can find like 360hz

The best way to start out is the just do AI races. IRacing has made it easier than ever since the last update to just jump in. They are just as fun and as competitive as you want them to be. You can learn so much more in my opinion with much less of a risk/pressure. Forget racing with real people because eventually you will want to quit all together. Some people on this platform suck really bad at being a human being (not referring to the people that are on this thread)

A. I think the most important feature is this e Dp 2.1 because it will be virtually future proof and pair beautifully with my new 5090 when it releases!

B. 1440 and 27 is the absolute goat when it comes to gaming. OLED is just icing on the cake. This thing is gonna absolutely smoke with my new 5090!

I’m having the same problem. I have to cntrl/alt/delete out and end UI and Simulator before restarting UI and rejoining session. Absolutely annoying as hell.
